Adobe Sign

When working often with contracts and the need to keep track of a lot of different clients, Adobe Sign is really helpful. Early in my business when I didn't have a large number of clients and I did most everything in person, it would have been a more unnecessary luxury for me. Now that I do a lot of work online and my clients are reaching farther and farther and more regularly hire me from over an hour drive away and sometimes out of state, I've found it extremely helpful when I can't meet in person. I've even moved to doing all contracts through Adobe Sign, even if we are meeting in person

eSign Genie

They let you do one-off signings if you want to test it, but I've used all the signing services and this is by far my favorite. I think it's great for all size companies looking to streamline the contract process and a huge time saver. I'd highly recommend to friends and colleagues

Pros

  • The product is simple to use but has the depth to cover a large variety of requirements.
  • It has greatly improved our client retention rate.
  • It has Improved our turnaround time for cases.
  • It is consistent and reliable, having used the system over the past 2 years, it is rare that we find it is unavailable for use.
  • It gives us and our client's options, rather than having to rely on the postal services to get our agreements signed.

  • The ability to drag and drop boxes on the document and then select who needs to sign them is very easy.
  • Automatic follow-ups and reminders to send documents
  • Easy to download documents and upload/delete them
  • Super simple to use and learn

Cons

  • Our company uses a custom made widget for Salesforce purposes, and we aren't able to send the completed document to more than one contact (other than a standard cc). It would be great if this is something considered moving forward.
  • We have had a little more difficult of a time working with a multi-signature process. Transitioning the next department into our CRM system has been successful, but having the ability for multi-signing is the next big step we need to conquer.
  • Echosign always seems to be going through maintenance or glitches in the service - I know this is something actively being worked on, but always something to be considered.

  • I don't think it has mobile signing functions like some of their competitors do, but I could be wrong
  • They could update the look of the portal
  • They could update the speed of the site, it does seem consistently a bit slower than other sites

The main reason that we may not is because several of our franchisees use Android tablets in the field and there is no Echosign app currently. If we didn't have this factor it would be a no brainer to resign.

Usability

Adobe Sign9.2
Based on 8 answers
It was very easy for me to understand and learn to use. However, when I have trained others on the software who have less experience with technology it can be a little overwhelming at first. However, everyone that I have trained, once they know how to use it, it's easy for them to use on a daily basis. On the flip side, I have had employees who need little to no training at all. They are able to figure it our and navigate it on their own

I would have rated this a 9 or greater had they not had had such critical outages. They have taken steps to resolve this so I may come in and revise this

Online Training

Adobe Sign8.0
Based on 1 answer
The best types of training are well integrated into the product and Echosign does this well. As mentioned earlier in my review - there are some areas of functionality that can be difficult to understand ("only I sign") for the novice user.Other areas such as macro usage, bulk signature and so on were easily learned and understood via the online tools.

Implementation

Adobe Sign8.0
Based on 5 answers
We opted not to use the Salesforce.com integration however that was our internal business decision and it was the wrong one but that was our issue, not the vendor. Whether you implement using just the web interface or both the web interface and the Salesforce.com integration, they are both easily done

Alternatives Considered

Docusign. We perceived that Docusign was strongest in the real estate market and might have more professional services. By contrast Echo sign doesn’t have any. However, I felt that Docusign makes people adopt their signature online out of the gate and creates a very different user experience. I think this makes the user uncomfortable. I also think their set-up a is a lot more confusing. It looks very legalistic in comparison to Echosign. By contrast, Echosign seems more user friendly. The style feels lighter like Mac vs. Windows

They all basically do the same thing. In terms of small business needs, I like eSign Genie the best, but I can't speak to their mobile capabilities. I do know HelloSign is great for mobile signing. I really like simplicity and the ability to automate processes, and this can be easily achieved with eSign Genie.
