Adobe Sign

When working often with contracts and the need to keep track of a lot of different clients, Adobe Sign is really helpful. Early in my business when I didn't have a large number of clients and I did most everything in person, it would have been a more unnecessary luxury for me. Now that I do a lot of work online and my clients are reaching farther and farther and more regularly hire me from over an hour drive away and sometimes out of state, I've found it extremely helpful when I can't meet in person. I've even moved to doing all contracts through Adobe Sign, even if we are meeting in person

Quick simple signing of a doc (and dating) is great. Would be nice if it could be edited if needed by the signer before signing.

Pros

  • The product is simple to use but has the depth to cover a large variety of requirements.
  • It has greatly improved our client retention rate.
  • It has Improved our turnaround time for cases.
  • It is consistent and reliable, having used the system over the past 2 years, it is rare that we find it is unavailable for use.
  • It gives us and our client's options, rather than having to rely on the postal services to get our agreements signed.

  • I love that you can put in fields to be filled out (signature, date, text fields).
  • The back end is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
  • I also appreciate the app so I can use it on my iPad during meetings.

Cons

  • NEED AN ANDROID APP!
  • Text wrapping function on the forms so that wording does not go off the contract

  • Interface in sending could be better - message to sender should be visible to change without having to click to show it.
  • Billing was really messed up upon renewal. It stopped working and said we had to pay even though payment went through and showed on the account page as paid.
  • Customer service is too hard to find and call. There was no posted number or email and no help option. It was very slow trying to contact someone and get it working when it locked us out.

Based on research, I haven't found anything that can send out electronic signatures so easily at a reasonable price. People also recognize the 'Adobe' name, so when they receive an email, it isn't questioned.

I am not sure how we would get the signatures and secure information that we do with out this product. It is great and gets the job done. Lets me get mine done in a timely manor as well.

I have used SignNow's mobile app for years. It has made it extremely easy to sign and save contracts and verify personal training sessions. The app works wonderfully. If for some reason the app closes before all signatures are completed, it automatically saves them.

I haven't had to ask for support more then a handful of times and each time I do interact with the support team I have felt important. They get back to me quickly and I am able to get them answers/help I was seeking

Online Training

The best types of training are well integrated into the product and Echosign does this well. As mentioned earlier in my review - there are some areas of functionality that can be difficult to understand ("only I sign") for the novice user.Other areas such as macro usage, bulk signature and so on were easily learned and understood via the online tools.

Make sure you set aside enough time to get properly trained on the system. We needed to act quickly on our initial use of this product and I did not have the time to go through all the proper training so it was basically go in and learn. I think it would have been much easier had I been given the time by the company to learn everything first.

Alternatives Considered

Docusign. We perceived that Docusign was strongest in the real estate market and might have more professional services. By contrast Echo sign doesn’t have any. However, I felt that Docusign makes people adopt their signature online out of the gate and creates a very different user experience. I think this makes the user uncomfortable. I also think their set-up a is a lot more confusing. It looks very legalistic in comparison to Echosign. By contrast, Echosign seems more user friendly. The style feels lighter like Mac vs. Windows

Return on Investment

  • Higher quality orders are being submitted. Previously, we had a lot of problems with missing pages on contracts and clients writing on contracts, both of which could cause orders to be rejected. In general document integrity is really important. It helps assure to a sales rep that their order will be accepted.
  • No lost revenue. It reduces the risk of a contract being rejected in a quarter. Previously, we had a 1-2% contract rejection rate and now it’s practically zero.
  • There is a staff time benefit of not having to check documents that come through Echosign. You don’t have to count pages etc. For my staff, it probably saved her 10% of the time.
