UltiPro

Ultipro is a great product for our business due to the 24/7 nature of the workforce. The ability to access self-service and make changes, print pay stubs, change taxes, direct deposit, etc., makes it easier for the Human Resources staff. It also makes open enrollment a breeze where in the past we utilized paper forms.

Pros

  • ADP Streamline works best if you have a great ADP rep on the other end for your payroll purposes. I had a fantastic rep who was very responsive.
  • The ease and security of the upload process makes things quick and easy. Especially when actually preparing the payroll for upload can be difficult.
  • The report running format when I was using ADP Streamline was extremely user friendly and easy to navigate.

  • Cognos Analytics is one of the best features of Ultipro. There are no limits to the data you can get from Ultipro which makes it invaluable in ensuring we are on track with the budget.
  • Employee self-service is a popular feature with our agency. They no longer have to come by HR to fill out forms or make changes and with a 24/7 business, this is a helpful tool.
  • We are currently experimenting with the documents section to track progressive discipline. This is allowing supervisors and managers to see where they are and what improvements they need to work on.

  • ADP sales team should be more knowledgeable about the product they sell you
  • ADP employees should be more up to date on tax liabilities in different states
  • I think ADP should assign one contact person so you don't have to get a different person each time you need assistance

  • I would like to have the ability to do mass updates for employee data besides just supervisor changes
  • When we move an employee from one company to another we have to re-enter their deductions which if an employee has a lot, could be very time consuming and/or missed in the process
  • In Business Intelligence it would be nice to have a search feature to quickly find what you're looking for, I spend a lot of time searching for less commonly used fields

We are overall happy with UltiPro and it works well for our organization and we have plans to expand our usage of it even more so we will definitely be continuing with the product. We are thinking of adding the functionality for training and recruiting as well, which is an add-on product

I've found Ultipro to be completely reliable. Outages are typically planned to occur on weekends and only once did I have connections issues connecting Citrix to the server where our environment was housed, but within the hour connection was restored. I think that's a pretty good track record, considering I've used the suite daily for over three years. Especially when processing payroll--say the internet goes down in the middle of you performing a task... Ultipro is able to recognize that a connection error occurred and quickly restores the process that was running, avoiding lost productivity.

UltiPro has moved most of their training online which makes it very cost beneficial. When we implemented, we needed to travel for our training. It was done very well and the instructors were very proficient in carrying out the training.

Instructors are knowledgeable. Time in the class for labs or hands-on work where applicable really helps. I use my materials frequently when writing a BI report if it is not a feature I do frequently. The material is consistent, it frees up my HRIS coordinator from training new users in HR. The quick tours for end users are great as well. Registering for the training can be a little confusing, the front end for locating the classes is not as easy as it could be.

I implemented UltiPro on my own (as we were short-handed), in addition to my other duties, and was able to stay on track with our original implementation timeline. The process is laid out in a very detailed method. This was by far the most thorough and easiest implementation that I have been through

I have been using UltiPro since 2009. I had left ADP and will never look back UltiPro is the leader in the industry and it seems all other HCM businesses are running to catch up. I love the ease of use and flexibility that UltiPro offers! I am a partner for life!
