I think it all depends on what the client is looking for. I mean we have been using Vantage for the last 6 years and it has come a long way from where it started. The nice thing is we have been able to grow with it and configure things to how we need them to be for our business. So each business needs are going to be different and ADP Vantage can keep up with those needs.

  • The new user interface is friendly and easy to use.
  • The Succession Management module is one of the best I've seen. It is easy to navigate the talent assessment and easy to use to facilitate calibration sessions.

when required to move from PayForce to Vantage we expected to have greater functionality and reporting - did not expect to be forced to move to a product that was not ready, provided less functionality, required more dependence on ADP Service Rep for day to day function and cost more - was a big swing and a miss for ADP

A lot of set ups vary from company to company so parts of our training we found it difficult to relate it to our processes. They have TONS of training modules available and a streamlined process for what you should complete and when. Would have been helpful to have onsite training for how much one pays for the system.

Alternatives Considered

PayForce did everything we needed with less dependence on ADP and at lower cost - Vantage cost more, delivers less and makes us more dependent on ADP - if we had an option we would have stayed on that platform.

Return on Investment

  • Quicker benefit enrollment information (census, deductions, termination notices to vendors, etc.)
  • Compliance for Tax Credit Services, background checks, etc. using the Recruiting Management module.
  • Employee Self Service provides more time for managers as they will no longer be required to update individual employee information.
  • Integrates the Commuter benefits program, where an external vendor was used before.

  • The tool SuccessFactors Employee Central, needs to be coupled with discussion between managers and employees. The tool will capture anything an individual writes, but the communication needs to be scheduled and executed.
  • The records produced by SuccessFactors Employee Central will help HR with employee inquiries and specific situations.
