ADP Workforce Now is well suited for anyone looking to streamline their HR and Payroll functions into a one-stop-shop product. It's easy to hire, calculate vacation time, and run reports for year end retirement contributions and Department of Labor statistics

TimeForce is a versatile system, but is is better suited for the US environment. And with flexibility comes responsibility: should you go for a more customized setup, it may be hard to maintain it, both as get quality recommendations from Infinisource's on how to fix problems.

  • The timekeeping function allows us to keep an accurate track of our employees, even when working in a different location. We have the ability to allocate costs from one cost center to another from within the timecard making it easy to transfer costs. We have added schedules to track clocking discrepancies and also recently added an ADP partner for additional resources in dealing with an attendance policy.
  • Payroll makes it easy to manage all aspects of pay from garnishments to bonuses. The tax service takes care of reporting all the taxes so we just need to make sure all the data in the system is correct.
  • The implementation to ADP was very well managed and timed. They employ very good resources that will walk you through the entire process without any of the stresses usually associated with an implementation.

  • As I mentioned previously, it provides the ability for everyone to check their available time through their portal whenever they would like. Other systems I have used, employees would have to request a report for their available time / time used.
  • The layout is very streamlined and easy to navigate. When training new employees on the system, I don't spend more than 5 minutes with them and they are able to accurately login and navigate on their own.
  • The MyScreen tab is very useful. It has most everything you need to track on the same tab without having to print reports. Being able to see everyone that is currently clocked in is very beneficial. Other systems you would have to print a report to get this information.

  • Customer Service - quicker response to email support requests
  • Benefit Accruals - don't know how to make sure they are working correctly. When the year turns over there is no way to make sure the payrolls covering the end of December booked time off requests to the year just finished instead of adding it to the new year. I end up making a lot of adjustments in January.
  • Filters for reports - not always the easiest to figure out what filter to use for reports

  • Too much functionality for more basic usage. So many bells and whistles that implementing basic time and PTO tracking was more complicated than should be since everything was highly integrated.
  • PTO tracking was a little tricky. Had to manually go in an accrue PTO for employees after every pay period. Instances of PTO requests going through twice, perhaps by employee error, but not being able to easily clear out without deleting entire accrual and starting from scratch.
  • Reports did not come out cleanly. Could view them nicely within TimeForce but once exported to Excel they would lose all formatting and sometimes lose certain data columns.
  • Employee profiles needed to be set up in two different places with repeated data. Was tricky and not intuitive.

I would definitely support renewing ADP's WFN project because it hasn't left me wanting for anything. All products have minor nuances that could use improving and I genuinely believe that as long as we're providing that feedback to ADP then they will use it to leverage their resources to make the most requested changes in future versions of the software

The system works, period. QQest support is extremely knowledgeable of their product. In the very few times I have contacted them (mostly for updates) I allow them to remote in and the problem is fixed or the application is upgraded within the hour.I have not run into any errors with the system, it has performed bug-free (at-least to the user) for the entire six years that I have managed the system. The only issues that we encountered and needed support where in the event of a software upgrade.One thing I might consider a negative is the cost of the Microsoft SQL Server product needed at your cost in order to run the TimeForce software (if localized). Currently we are considered using the hosted solution at our next upgrade point.We don't have to renew until we are ready to upgrade, but we always have support available which is nice.

Lack of documentation and test environment make it extremely difficult to deploy work processes through the system. While there are a handful of things throughout the system that work well, particularly from an employee's perspective, many tasks, which would be simple for practitioner users in other systems, require these users to ask for administrator support.Additionally, the ghosts in the ADP machine cause established process (e.g. automated report delivery) to stop working with no notice and no error report.

I have found as the administrator it is very cumbersome for most individuals to use and it is not very intuitive. An individual that is not technologically advanced will have difficulty using as well as those that are lazy and just do not want to learn to do it. The manuals they give you are not helpful for the web-based program. I had to create my own with pictures for most individuals to understand the system.

The support from ADP client service is fantastic. Most of the time, one call can resolve my question or issue. On occasion, when I have a more complex issue, there will need to be follow up or even an amendment filed. In those instances, normally ADP sends a follow up email with the case number and details. I can then continue email contact with the representative (versus calling and starting over with someone new). On occasion I have needed to escalate an issue, either for more immediate resolution or a more experienced team member involvement. However, the CR team appears well trained as to when that level of involvement is appropriate and they will not hesitate to escalate.

Most of my issues can not be handled by the chat so I have to call in and usually I am on the phone for an hour or two and my problem does not always get resolved immediately or I have to wait for the next update to get resolved. When there is an update the wait time is even worse because it never fails they do an update to fix one problem and another one arises.

It provided step-by-step procedures on where you would need to log in your hours as well as what you would need to highlight (i.e. regular, overtime, etc.) detailing the type of hours that were worked overall. Either assign more than one specialist to the implementation process, or assign less clients to the implementation specialist. The process requires attention to detail and the ability to test and re-test as well as verify the information. It also requires a lot of back and forth between the client ant the implementation specialist, so they need to be readily available during the whole implementation process.

The system was very cumbersome setting up as well as time consuming. There were times I just wanted to walk away and sometimes I did have to get up and walk away for a break and come back with a fresh perspective. The setup took me over a period of two to three months getting it to serve the purposes that we needed it two. I am very intuitive when it comes to computer software however getting all the right buttons checked in order for it to do what I needed didn't always work.

I liked Kronos and we had Payroll Centrics Evolution Management on board to go to a bigger company. I would have liked to go to Kronos which I used for many years. They went with our sister company's ADP and I was forced to use ADP. I had used ADP prior to Kronos and had major service issues and did not like the attention that our account was not receiving.

We haven't used any other time keeping software. Prior to having TimeForce we were using a paper time card for part time employees and an excel spreadsheet for full time employees. It's nice to have a software that is more modern in this age of technology

  • Positive: Payroll and HR is a one person department. Accounting does not have to be involved and can concentrate on AP and AR.
  • Negative: Payroll can not be submitted early as the funds are processed and taken from the checking account too soon. This interferes with vacations and time off.

  • TimeForce increased visibility to the actual hours our employees work. The implementation helped us to reevaluate our HR policies to account for the business needs.
  • Before TF we used Excel spreadsheets, so implementing the system freed up some HR time and increased managers' responsibility for keeping track of employee hours.
  • Disconnecting time clocks and post-update issues are our biggest pain point, setting out management to start looking around for an alternative system. As customizable as TF is, this cannot offset the reliability problems.
