I believe AMD is very well suited for a small to medium sized practice. I would say that a larger or multi-specialty practice/group would need a great demo and more hands-on prior to purchase to make sure it fits their needs. I did have a 20 provider, multi-location group that was very efficient on AMD.

ClearCare

ClearCare is a great system for managing payroll, invoicing and client/employees management. Not sure it would work for extremely large businesses but it works well for ours. It is great being a cloud-based system so I can access it from anywhere.

  • Adding and Deleting provider columns complicated.
  • Would have loved to have one point of contact at all times and have that person answer on the third ring (see, this is me really reaching--because as far as my job functions were concerned, the product was absolutely fantastic. I have no complaints).
  • Working electronic insurance error reports in the system was a nightmare.

  • There could be better customization of colors. I am partially colorblind and it is hard to distinguish colors in shift calendars.
  • More easily customized reports or a better guide for setting up reports.
  • iPhone App would be great.

I have used ClearCare for about a year now and have only experienced positive outcomes with the system. It has everything you need from simple note reminders to detailed medial information regarding your client. If anyone in the health field takes the time to view this software, they would be hooked.

Alternatives Considered

ADP AMD is much easier to learn and navigate than most all of the systems I have worked with, including Greenway and Centricity. The only thing I liked better in Centricity was the ability to run more customized reports, but overall, I would choose AMD any day over those two.

We had a locally hosted system. It was not user-friendly. It was not cloud-based. ClearCare makes it easy to see a schedule, contact a client, message a CAREGiver, or do a host of other things from wherever I am connected.

  • In comparison to other software companies out there, you can be confident in knowing that ADP AdvancedMD is a great product! They have customer support available from 8am - 8pm EST, so there should always be someone there to help!

  • ClearCare has simplified our workflows. Having everything in one spot makes it so much easier.
  • It is much easier to get a new client rolling with ClearCare. Tasks do not get overlooked as often and we are more efficient.
