Data.com

Data.com is a good prospecting and data information tool for any agency or company doing outbound prospecting. Data.com requires you to also have Salesforce CRM, so this tool is really only suited for those companies that can afford Salesforce. Because of this, Data.com seems like a better fit for companies with at least 30 or more employees (total in the company) and at least 5 Salesforce users. Data.com is not a good fit for small businesses.

Pros

  • I liked how you can access Aeroleads on LinkedIn.
  • Very easy to use and results are accurate. User-friendly, supports bulk search, you can also import your data to be used in other tools which is really cool and helpful if you want to use your data on Aeroleads to other tools. They also have a plugin that makes finding prospects easier and adding them to your list.

Cons

  • I tried to approach them for a service but AeroLeads do not accept less 300 leads for their service work. As I was looking for only less amount of leads.

  • The database on contact information is limited.
  • Larger companies are fairly easy to find information on but data is lacking on smaller organizations.
  • The monthly limit of 300 credits can sometimes be a roadblock to pull data quickly.

Very intuitive to use and I've never had any confusion with features. Anyone can create an account and use the platform simply by adding a contact or company into the database to earn points. It's a great option if you don't have budget for lists or pay services. It is easy to use and anyone can benefit from it.

Whenever I've had a question their support has responded pretty quickly and gives me exactly what I am looking for. I have not had any technical issues so I can't speak to issues there, but as far as general questions from a free user they have impressed me with how quickly they get back to me and the thoroughness of their answers.

Verify anyone’s email with our their email verification algorithm. That too, is completely free.

The other crowd sourced data provider I've used is ZoomInfo. ZoomInfo generally has more direct numbers, however it appears as if they've done away with their free tier. The other downside of Zoom was you give them access to your email for them to data mine contacts. On the free tier you only got 10 contacts a month while they could add every contact in your email to their database.Data.com is far superior in that on the free tier you get out what you put in, as well as earn points based on other users buying the contacts you've added in. So to compare the two, although ZoomInfo had better phone numbers, you were extremely limited in what you could get out of it compared to what they took and access they require. Data.com blows it out of the water for free users, and I'm not even sure ZoomInfo has a free tier anymore.
