This is an affordable platform. If they can work out the kinks to get it to work properly and of their service to respond to more complex issues, It'll have the product that competes directly with Salesforce.

I think it is well suited for organizations which are large with a lot of users so as to be able to minimize the cost of operations. Also, the organization which interacts mostly with customers can use Oracle CRM on demand.

Pros

  • The functionality of creating the campaign is very well thought out. It's extremely intuitive and I'm able to create what is considered complex campaigns with ease.
  • The ability to add points to the profile of a lead and rank them makes sorting and targeting potential customers very easy.
  • Review profile of a lead is very easy. Custom fields are easy to create and are visible in the profile.

  • Application customization is a key strength. We can create custom home page experiences for each type of user, customize object layouts to change dynamically depending on object type, and create an embedded sales process unique to our organization that helps facilitate the user through the process by specifying required fields dependent on what stage of the process they are in. The ability to customize goes directly to the success of user adoption - the fact that we can customize layouts and processes to support our internal business processes helps users make the most of the system.
  • Robust Reporting. The reporting and data warehouse capabilities are excellent. We have thousands of custom reports delivered in a number of ways - on home pages, on dashboards, on demand through the reporting menu, and on custom web tabs. These reports range from simple lists to complex multi-object analyses.
  • Ability to get data in and get data out. CRMOD makes it very easy to import data into any object. This is helpful for importing lists or making mass changes. Exporting data is equally easy, both from an administrator standpoint and for the user. Users can display a list or do a custom advanced search and then easily export the data to Excel without any admin help. They can also export from any report, which is helpful when sales data needs to be combined with other financial data in a larger analysis.
  • The system's workflow capabilities allow us to improve field validation, send important notifications, and enforce business process requirements.

Cons

  • On the deal board, I'd like for agile to show how many days a deal has been in that stage. That information is available in other places, but having it on the Kanban board would be great.
  • It takes quite a bit of contextual understanding to make the marketing automation work. It would be much better if more of that information were available in the interface so you didn't have to do so much off program research and decisioning prior to implementing your ideas.
  • I'd like for agile CRM to also offer a "picture" of how the existing marketing automations and campaigns interact with each other, to avoid embarrassing or duplicate emails and other actions.

  • The ability to schedule and push out reports is missing from this system. If we want to mass deliver a report on a schedule, we must run it, export it and email it out to the group, or purchase a 3rd party system.
  • The ability to trigger workflow events on a schedule is missing this system. Currently, there has to be a trigger initiated by a user and we have situations where we'd like to be able to schedule a work flow routine to go out and check from specific situations and then trigger an action. We'd also like to be able to trigger workflow actions on one object based on something in another object and this capability is very limited.

There was a little bit of a learning curve and some bumps along the way to managing this platform, but AgileCRM appears to be responsive to any challenges that arise, which I consider to be of vital importance.

The training sessions are very helpful, because you have specialist that is available to answer any questions, guide you and coach you on how to dominate a certain feature of the platform. That being said,Whenever I have an issue that needs to be resolved, I can send email or call a support line. I usually use the support line.

Each section of the AgileCRM platform has an instructional video that describes in detail all of the features of that section. I found this to be very instructional way to learn about each section. Whenever I had more questions, I could always schedule a conference call with a tutor..

Alternatives Considered

Agile CRM is much less expensive than Salesforce. It might not have all the potential of those thousands of add-ons, but for those who have basic needs – and the need to customize to some extent, it more than delivers.Agile CRM has more advanced features, particularly around marketing automation, and hub spot does. While hub spot is free for the CRM element, using the other tools that come standard and agile CRM raises your cost considerably.Outlook for business just isn't organized in a friendly enough way for you to see who you know and to keep things current.

This products Starts with a free Limited version. You can upgradeTo an affordable paid version with minimal features. There's also an enterprise version which is what I have. It's much more expensive, however it allows me to access the full range of features available.

Return on Investment

  • Agile CRM is such an integral part of our business, that I can imagine life without it. If we didn't have it, it would mean missing important calls, not following up on key leads, and not having current contact information for many of our clients, vendors, and prospects.
  • In addition to cost savings, agile CRM also helps me save time. It's very responsive, so updating records is not a hassle. I particularly like being able to import details from someone's LinkedIn page without having the type of thing.
