Likelihood to Recommend I don't know many other scenarios, as I have been with this company for 13 years and in this industry for roughly 25 years. It is a tool that is well suited for our company and this industry in general. As a staffing company, you can accomplish nearly everything imaginable with this tool. The only area I have seen that might not be ideal is if you wanted to run all kinds of metrics. You can run a variety of reports in Akken, the data fields are limited sometimes and one would think that wouldn't need to be the case. You should be able to put whatever data you want in any field to create the report you need.
Read full review Oracle HCM is very much helpful and well suited in the recruitment and placement process and HR data. It makes it easier for HR in [organizations] to keep track of who is in and out of the [organization]. Improvement can be made by allowing employees to record their own data and update it as and when necessary without having to go through HR first.
Read full review Pros Automatically keeps a record of activities such as email conversations related to a candidate. Time and date stamp on events logged to a candidate and customer is a great resource. Completing full company profiles with all contacts is very helpful for later efficiency. Read full review A very beneficial tool to keep a record of the performance of all the employees and it can look for the capabilities of the employees. Payroll problems are being solved easily with Oracle HCM Cloud. Capable of holding all the recruitment processes easily and efficiently. Price ranges are also affordable. Read full review Cons This is the worst ATS I've ever used. It's hard to find what you need. It's not set up in a coherent manner and things are all over the place. I have to download a resume just to view it. The parse function only works in Internet Explorer and it works poorly then. Makes it impossible to tell if its actually a duplicate because it flags everything. No section for meaningful notes. Notes are all just reports of action. No way to make it efficient for direct hires. All geared towards staffing so it makes you fill out non-sense information that will be inaccurate and irrelevant just to satisfy field requirements. Read full review Government entities share data readily on applicants and HCM doesn't make it easy to have applications transferred between organizations. If applicants could apply once and send that application to multiple entities that would really make it more appealing to clients. This is a niche that is currently filled with NEOGOV, however Oracle's analytics are far superior to those in NEOGOV There are no customizations allowed so clients need to work within the configuration standards or create a bolt on. Many times your greatest asset is also one of your biggest weaknesses. Oracle is a large company and sometimes it can be hard to navigate the support matrix that they have set up. They also have tiers of support so you can pay more to get more, which isn't optimal from a customer point of view. Read full review Likelihood to Renew There is no reason for us to make a switch. Everybody in the office is familiar with it and it allows us to get our work done faster. There are no pressing issues that would warrant a change at this point
Read full review Taleo does what we need it to do and based on the costs from both a time and money perspective, I don't see us changing anytime soon. If anything I think we will look to leverage the capabilities available that we may not already be using.
Read full review Usability Akken is quite easy to use however there are a few more complex functions or multi steps to go through to run reports and find historic information.
Read full review After the initial training's, it was quite intuitive to use the application. The application is based upon best practices and the overall flows are quite logical. The train stop approach also ensures that users understand where they are in the process cycle. Also, the number of clicks have been greatly rationalized to ensure that there is more streamlined experience.
Read full review Reliability and Availability It works well. However we recently discovered that it no longer is supported on Internet Explorer so we had to change the default browser for everyone in our organization to MS Edge.
Read full review Performance It's an average tool. The calendar function isn't great, email is slow, and there always seem to be day-to-day issues. The functionality is mostly there for a staffing firm, but there are plenty of areas of improvement still needed

Read full review Support Rating The best support we have received has been from sales. Customer success is pretty much a joke. We have been yelled at by customer success reps; been told to take a screenshot of something we are not seeing; been told there are no issues on there in when Akken hadn't been working for hours, only to have it magically fixed shortly after we reported the problem; and been told engineering was working on a problem for weeks without resolution. If you are going to be working with IT Staffing companies, you have to understand that we have a modicum of knowledge in IT, and you can't BS us. Honesty will get you a lot farther than stringing us along with BS.
Read full review The rating is based upon our current level of support. The overall experience has vastly changed since we moved into product paid support. 'Also, with Oracle going with the model of quarterly patches, it makes sense to have the product company provide support to the overall application thereby eliminating the problems of bugs.

Read full review There is a lot of potential on Fusion. We have reaped about 10% of potential benefits. Especially on Workforce Intelligence, the opportunities are huge. The reason why we do not use the solution at its full potential is not in the product (which is simple and transparent). A roadmap is under construction to bring more of its potential to the end user.

Read full review Alternatives Considered We preferred the ability to go with Mac computers. That was the number one selling point for us. Besides that we liked the ease of the product. The email interface looked exactly like Outlook. The calendar the same. The price was also a big selling point. It came in slightly cheaper than Bullhorn and other systems and in our opinion a better product.
Read full review Firstly, create a template for the data of human resources to be filled by the client with help from us, then We transformed the paperwork, excel, word sheets, did data cleansing and refined the data, and matched data with the correct fields inside the template and imported the data to oracle cloud hcm by using human capital management data loader
Read full review Scalability Taleo (owned now by Oracle) continues to be an incredibly powerful product and it's scalability is among the most robust of any ATS in use today.
Read full review Return on Investment Sometimes the system is slow and the process of hiring someone is lengthy so it takes a long time to complete it so it takes away from other things I could be working on It’s easy and quick to manage candidates to show what process they’re in Read full review We were not good at tracking any numbers around recruiting so now this last year we have been able to set the benchmark that we now can work toward improving. At any given time, we could not say how many open positions we had. Now we are able to keep track of that. We do a much better job with communicating with candidates now, especially the ones not selected. This will help us maintain a better reputation and attract the candidates back for other jobs they may be a better fit for in the future.
