Amazon CloudFront
Amazon CloudFront is best suited when there is a need of speed in serving static and dynanic web contents of a web application. If the content is already in that edge location, CloudFront delivers it immediately. If the content is not currently in that edge location, CloudFront retrieves it from an Amazon S3 bucket or an HTTP server. Amazon CloudFront is not appropriate in case users can tolerate some delays or servers are present near to the location of user. It also Integrates through the W3 Total Cache plugin. Amazon CloudFront Pricing based on bandwidth usage that's the best part of it.

For file management and sharing, I prefer Dropbox over Google Drive. I find the UI of Dropbox and its implementation into the computer's OS to be excellent, which makes using it incredibly intuitive. For editing files in real time, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc. work a lot better. Seeing changes being made by others as they are doing it is great and I haven't been able to find a way to do this in Dropbox.

Pros
Amazon CloudFront
- CloudFront, like other CDNs, is a very reliable content delivery network for delivering content like images, videos, HTML, and javascripts that are run on browsers across the world.
- It provides secure hosting of content at no extra cost. AWS Certification Manager also provides the ability to create and manage custom SSL certificates at no extra cost for our websites.
- It is secure, which means that it uses AWS Shield for Layer 3/4 DDoS mitigation and AWS WAF for Layer 7 protection. Hence seamlessly integrating with other AWS services. So you do not have to shop outside of AWS ecosystem

- Super fast syncing across devices and very reliable and consistent speeds.
- "Good enough" security with the supported 2FA and 256-bit AES encryption.
- Solid sharing and collaborations tools are built-in to the app, UI shell on Windows/Mac and on web browsers.
- Version/history feature allows you to never lose work or files.

Amazon CloudFront
- If price is the main concern, CloudFront is not the cheapest-in-class by a wide margin
- Some of the settings are not obvious to new users, and the management dashboards could use work
- Lacks fine-grained access controls and statistical reports for usage

- I find it very difficult to share individual folders or subfolders that are within shared folders. For instance, if I want to share just one file, it doesn't allow me to share it with someone who doesn't have access to the shared folder. I don't want to grant access each time to the entire folder, just to the file.
- I don't love the layout--it's functional, but not inspiring, and it hasn't been updated in so long. It seems as if it's been the same since Dropbox started. I enjoy when products surprise me with functionalities I hadn't even thought of.
- I don't find the suggestions on the home page helpful. I prefer the layout of Google Drive, where home takes you to things you accessed recently, but also to the entirety of your drive. I don't find the suggestions or the messages on the home page very helpful.

Dropbox is a user-friendly, easy tool which requires little to no skill and they offer a free version with a good amount of storage available. There are other file sharing tools available however at a cost. Dropbox free version I have used for years and it serves every purpose I need.

Dropbox requires little to no training. This is a product that can be downloaded on a device and handed to someone who has never used it before. Within minutes, the user would have figured out how to use the majority of functions Dropbox offers.

Dropbox is really useful, you can access any file from anywhere and you can upload and even edit files online, but, sometimes it can be slow. Downloading, uploading, and syncing is a bit slow, it can take several minutes. Furthermore, the search engine for large amounts of data can be slow too and it is not powerful.

CloudFront is a good CDN solution. It can be a bit complicated to implement depending on your needs, but AWS tech support is great. You get to avoid a ton of upfront costs by going with CloudFront. It works best in conjunction with other AWS services in your infrastructure. Once you set it up, you won't need to do much to maintain it. It just works.

It has not been necessary to go to customer support lately, since everything works perfectly. However, I must add that at the beginning when I started using Dropbox, and I had any doubts about how it worked, customer support was always attentive and found the best solutions effectively.

Amazon has always been creative and leading, and I have been using its services for years. They are very reassuring and have fast and responsive support--you can call them from any time zone to respond quickly. High security on servers, open hands on changes, and increasing and decreasing server resources and features.

Dropbox has been [easier] for me to use as I am not very tech savvy. When I used Google Drive I had more difficulty uploading, finding files and being able to share documents with others. I did not have this issue when I used Dropbox, and others using it found it as easy as well.

- Our website loads much more quickly in other countries as a result of CloudFront. For example: loading cached assets from CloudFront in Australia is 4x as fast as it would be to load the same assets without CloudFront.
- Very inexpensive service considering the value it brings.

- There was one instance where a client sent me a file (and probably deleted their copy) and I accidentally deleted the file. The file was 300MB and hadn't yet been backed up by my computer's backup system. Luckily Dropbox allowed me to recover the deleted file. I believe they keep deleted files for 30 days.
- Dropbox has allowed me to operate smoothly as a business with my clients. The file request feature, in particular, is very handy, especially for clients that don't have a Dropbox account.
- Because my working files are synced with Dropbox, I can easily transition to working on a different computer, or on rare occasions access certain files, in particular, via my phone. Just more features that help keep my business running smoothly.
