Considered Both Products
AnyDesk
Chose AnyDesk
They share great qualities between one another. One, however, has the advantage and that is AnyDesk. it is much more user friendly and a lighter program for computers. I recommend it highly over TeamViewer.

Chose LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo
We use AnyDesk software sometimes when it is difficult for people to navigate how to use LogMeIn. It is helpful to have as a backup. I wish LogMeIn sometimes was simpler to use for those who do not know computers well. There are many prompts for LogMeIn and some users are not …
Chose LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo
TeamViewer requires the client's/remote users TeamViewer version to be up to date in order to establish connectivity which is not the case with Rescue. Otherwise it ticks all the boxes. Never had issues with AnyDesk. Works well too however the software needs to be there on the …
Chose LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo
Rescue is by far the best remote tool we've used, the ease for agent and client to use is much more seamless and the feature list seems much larger than other competitors
Chose LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo
Both are good but not that user friendly as compared to logmein rescue. Rescue is better when you are using multiple remotes in one console or in one license
Chose LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo
LogMeIn Rescue stands victorious when it comes to remote support of customers across the world comparing to some other products because of how well it work across multiple platforms, providing a vast of different support tools, ease of use and availability. LogMeIn Rescue works …
Chose LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo
LogMeIn Rescue stacks up against other alternatives for its wider range of hardware support, cloud storage, file sharing, and team collaboration. We selected LogMeIn Rescue for its enterprise-level security features.
Chose LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo
In relation to other software, LogMeIn Rescue, I believe, is the most complete and with the greatest amount of functionality. This may or may not be an advantage. There are simpler free platforms that can fill the need for remote assistance.

AnyDesk Software
If at this point in the pandemic, remote access to a desktop is necessary for you, then AnyDesk is likely a solid solution. However, as the pandemic winds down, remote access is expected to become less and less critical, and thus, the problem that AnyDesk solves is likely (or perhaps, hopefully) going away. Given the bad reputation for using this program by scammers, many customers do not want to connect through it, so over time, I switched to an alternative to Anydesk - the service Getscreen. me, which connects directly from the browser.

Not all of our team members are as PC computer savvy as we would like, Rescue allows any issue that arises to be quickly and correctly solved the first time no matter the level of comfort with our systems. We have not come across any situations where it did not work for our set up.

Pros
AnyDesk Software
  • It has an inbuilt Wake-on-LAN feature, which allows starting the remote computer with just a click.
  • We can create an easy-to-remember custom alias for different systems, it makes it easy to access the systems without any ID or long numbers to remember.
  • It allows auto adapt resolution, it displays the remote system according to the host systems resolution.

  • The rescue lens feature has come in handy to save us plenty of times. being able to have eyes on the end users' side to see how things are actually physically connected.
  • Having the ability to collaborate with other technicians is a feature that I have not seen in other applications. normally the other person has to connect as well which results in lowered connection speed on the end user's side since 2 connections are running.
  • The tools to be able to locate and audit sessions are also very valuable for measuring the performance of my technicians.

Cons
AnyDesk Software
  • The auto-update feature on AnyDesk sometimes offers a technical glitch. It does not work properly on few occasions. I really think it may has a room for improvement.
  • When it comes to Mac AnyDesk may seem a little complex at early times.
  • Video recording captures a low quality frame. I think this should be changed because sometimes video recording is the most essential thing.

We may continue using Logmein as it is the best remote support application in terms of connection latency and control. However, since several of our client sites have stricter security policies they block this application and we have to switch to other ways which is inconvenient

Usability
AnyDesk Software
AnyDesk is a complete solution for remote access and control. AnyDesk provides better navigation and UI when compared with other similar software. AnyDesk helped me a lot at times when I've been working from home. The only disadvantage I found is when the network connection is weak. It needs to be managed properly.

LogMeIn Rescue is easy to start and use and does not consume resources on your computer slowing it down. We are also often providing support for non-tech savvy end users who might have a hard time downloading and installing remote access software, especially when firewall warnings start to appear. LogMeIn Rescue's process is intuitive and easy to follow for our users.

Support Rating
AnyDesk Software
I didn't have any technical problems and I didn't suffer from bugs or errors. Customer service has improved a lot and I no longer need to leave the office to go to the user's computer. With AnyDesk I install and remove programs, printers, scanners, settings in general. Screen sharing is excellent and without delays. Overall, I recommend and approve AnyDesk.

I'd say support for LogMeIn is ideal because I haven't ever been in a situation where additional support was necessary. The program runs so efficiently and simply that nothing was needed beyond initial training that was provided by my company. I am saying this as a user that strictly uses the technician console

Alternatives Considered
AnyDesk Software
The free version of TeamViewer is unstable; the remote connection is frequently lost. Anydesk's remote connection is much more reliable and consistent. Even so, I prefer AnyDesk over other software because it's a lot easier to install and runs very well. Aside from that, its simplicity gives it an edge over other software.

UI (user interface) is pretty easy to use, you can use rescue from a desktop version or the web when others such as dameware you needed to have the software installed and the affected user needed to be on VPN, so you could take over their system. TeamViewer is good but with Rescue you can link your chat support team members and rescue to work from the same system. Other benefits in rescue is that you can add Ticket to track your IT personnel usage for reporting purpose. For instance if you want to track-down how many sessions the agent A did on a day and link the Ticket from your ITSM system with the information in rescue. I didn't see this option in other tools
