ClickMeeting

I really liked it for giving webinars with people outside of the organization, where you need to keep some info/data blocked from their views. I tried using it as a screen share software for sales calls however and it wasn't ideal.

Pros

  • Easy for the audience to log on and participate via chat
  • Automatically records the session, in case you forget
  • Ability to upload slides and pre-load audience polls

  • It worked very well for holding the webinars. We never had any outage issues or bugs. The chat worked well and was easy to customize in times where we were hiding the chat vs opening it up for everyone.
  • The UI was very straight forward as well and didn't require people to download a whole application to watch.
  • The presentation capabilities were numerous, you could show a slide deck from Google, a PowerPoint doc, or a video seamlessly.

Cons

  • The ads are understandably a necessary evil in order to keep AnyMeeting free. If they offered an optional pay per time ad-free experience for individual users it would allow for the user to customize their experience for what works best for them.
  • When you are finished with your screen sharing within an application it would be nice to be able to toggle back to the desktop screen sharing without disconnecting completely and having to start it back up again.
  • As the meeting administrator I would prefer the meeting members status' to be specifically attributed to them, as opposed to relatively anonymous.

  • Individual Audio Controls. I'd love to be able to adjust the audio for each of the presenters within the platform, as the host. Not all presenters are tech savvy and sometimes don't know how to adjust this themselves.
  • Additional Saved Color Schemes. I'd love to be able to create/save multiple custom color schemes that I can use for various events instead of a single one.

It works well, and does what it needs to, but there are a few flaws like the sound isn't great. There are fancier, prettier more expensive products that one could use, but this one does the job almost as well. Good value for the money.

Alternatives Considered

Easy to use interface. Easy to share the screen, give someone else the ability to share their screen.

ClickMeeting is far more simple to use than WebEx. WebEx has small inconveniences such as, if a person is "late" to the meeting, the meeting actually disappears in their "Meetings List" - thus the individual must be in possession of the meeting number and join manually. Also, WebEx is not supported across all platforms and devices (such as a ChromeBook/Chrome OS). Thus, ClickMeeting better serves our particular needs as a company

Return on Investment

  • We've acquired hundreds of new leads through our webinar platform, which is made easy by AnyMeeting.
Kimberly Stabenow profile photo
  • It was an affordable software for what it delivered. We would have kept using it if the webinars had worked to drive business, or if we'd been able to drive more people to the webinars. Not ClickMeeting's fault. Great return on the investment in my mind.
