Likelihood to Recommend

AnyMeeting

AnyMeeting is useful for presenting educational or training webinars to prospects, clients, and internal employees. It is also good for phone/web conferences with small groups where sharing a PowerPoint or screenshare would be useful.

GoToMeeting

GTM is excellent for meetings or webinars that encompass large groups of people. Registration is easy and provides calendar reminders to participants. When considering this product, I recommend that you determine how often you host conference (audio or video) calls and other online events. If it is very infrequent, this may not be the product for you. Being able to pre-schedule meetings and sending out reminders were critical for our organization

Pros

  • Ease of use -- setting up a meeting is quick and simple, and so is presenting. PowerPoints can be pre-loaded into the system and displayed/controlled without screen-sharing. Questions and Answers are easily managed in a platform that allows you to view them in a single pane and dismiss them as you answer.
  • Customization of registration forms -- gather the information you need from your registrants.
  • Live Chat is always quick and helpful.
  • The webinar system is browser-based, even for presenters, so you can present from anywhere without needing to download an application.
  • Built-in time zone converter on our webinar registration pages is useful, as we invite companies worldwide to our webinars.

It works well, and does what it needs to, but there are a few flaws like the sound isn't great. There are fancier, prettier more expensive products that one could use, but this one does the job almost as well. Good value for the money.

Honestly, it is not my decision to purchase, but as an employee I would be in favor of continuing to use Gotomeeting

All in all it is extremely easy. Panelists can't see questions, though.

Alternatives Considered

AnyMeeting's free version beats Zoom's free version because of the time limit Zoom imposes on free meetings. However, when going for a paid version, Zoom outperforms AnyMeeting's paid version. The video quality seems to be higher in Zoom. There is also more features available in Zoom as a whole, and I've never had someone not be able to join the Zoom meeting.

WebEx and GoToMeeting are largely similar in features and effectiveness, but GoToMeeting is better when it comes to ease of use and better user interface. WebEx seems to be a bit more reliable (less crashes)

Return on Investment

  • AnyMeeting made it easier and faster for me and my team to set up online meetings and conference calls, thus saving quite a bit of time.
  • Due to some over runs of meetings, I have to have a back up service just in case.

  • Reduce overall traveling costs
  • More efficiencies
  • Ability to stay in contact with remote employees
