App Data Room
ADR is a great interactive tool for B2B businesses that sales deals one-on-one with the customer. I don't think it would be well suited for B2C businesses because of the need and cost for individual licenses per user. I would highly recommend this tool to B2B companies that practice traditional sales with a technological edge.

Bloomfire has been terrific for housing and surfacing things like case studies, test results, forms (like expense reports), regularly updated documentation, brand and style guides, and more. The only place we've experienced frustration is when the documentation is highly technical, but Bloomfire links out to external sources well and is easy to navigate. So we've used it to create context around the technical documentation and then linked to the original sources or the person in the company who is the expert on that documentation.

- The search feature is second to none. This was one of the primary reasons we went with BF. The categorization and tagging increases the ability to find documents quickly and accurately among the vast amount of information we have accessible.
- The way BF handles the multiple file types and displays them beautifully for our customers and support staff is excellent. The ability to download and/or send links directly to this content is invaluable. No more storing it locally or having out of date documents circulating in the company. Everything is kept current on BF and all employees know this is their first stop when searching for a particular subject.
- The mobile app is fantastic for providing all the same features of the browser version so our people can always have it at the ready.

- Sometimes the search is too deep for users and displays too much. Showing the most used of viewed documents would be better.
- The editor can hang up sometimes and you think you saved but didn't.
- User management can be awkward sometimes, you remove a user and they are still active.

App Data Room has been instrumental in allowing our sale representatives to present up-to-date and innovative marketing collateral to potential customers. A second value add is that our Marketing Department is able to create and upload the most current material to the app so that our sales representatives have access to the most up-to-date information to present to our customers.

Overall, the App Data Room product is easy to use. Our Marketing Department is able to quickly upload updated and new material once they create the documents. Users are able to quickly find material filed by subject matter. Once the appropriate material is located, it can be presented on their iPad and emailed to prospective customers who indicate interest in the products.

The few support requests that we have submitted have been resolved within 2 business days. The App Data Room staff has also been responsive to suggestions from our staff to upgrade the product - specifically in the area of analytics.

No, key insights. Implementation was easy. The App Data Room staff hosted initial training sessions for our support personnel, and then these support persons conducted training and support sessions for our users.

We've used custom developed tools in the past but the upfront cost is very high and the solution we had was very costly to update. We did not have a CMS previously so real-time updates were unheard of. App Data Room has all of the features we previously had plus so much more.

Bloomfire was selected before I was hired & we are now moving to Higher Logic. I believe they thought we would need it as a knowledge base which it is good for vs. a true online community. I have learned that it is missing the "community" feel and that is why we are changing vendors.
