ApplicantPro is excellent for small and mid-sized companies that need an easy and cost-efficient way of getting their jobs posted and getting lots of applicants. It does interface with some HRIS platforms, but for most cases it may not interface with all HRIS platforms.

  • Applicant Pro has been great for our company. The ability to push the job to several free job boards (including several local options), as well as paid services, makes Applicant Pro a great bang-for-the-buck applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • The system is user friendly, which makes it easy for hiring managers to go in and go through resumes hassle free.
  • For our recruiting team, Applicant Pro provides plenty of tools tell help us be successful, such as messaging (including a built-in texting system), facilitating background checks, and other great features.

  • Relatively easy to set up a form to fill out and keep track of all requisitions, job posts, candidates, and employees.
  • Email notifications and broadcasting to company for important comms is great.
  • Storage so you can attach relevant files to each record (screenshots, resumes, scans of credentials, test results, etc.) making it easy to design tailored made processes with your teams. You decide what info, and who and when to capture it.
  • Decent job at reporting, it gets you the data and if you know how to process it, then you'll get great value.

  • There are not a lot of negatives. Great ATS solution with great customer support.
  • They do have a job email notification feature for potential candidates but it only sends it out periodically. It would be nice to have more control of when the emails go out.
  • The design is improving but takes some getting used to.

  • Smart forms should invest in R&D as there are best practices to fill out forms fast and capture data. UX/UI could improve so forms have easy input and easy file attachments/photos. Thinking of onboardings, job fairs, etc.
  • Responsiveness in your web app should work across all mobile devices, it's difficult to navigate if you can't see because of a menu blocking the content. Also, they could improve the overall UX/UI to present day standards and technologies (navigation, usability, animations, etc.).
  • The complete reporting module could be modernized and offer more dynamic data manipulation within WebHR, instead of having to export it and sort. The creation of tables and graphs are not available in the tool.

We are just implementing UltiPro. It has an ATS module and does a lot of things equally well and some better. Applicant Pro is probably half the cost. Also, UltiPro requires an account with eQuest to post to state job boards and local job boards, this is an added cost. It is also an added cost with AP but is very affordable. I didn't use onboarding with applicant pro because I believe it was an integration with another vendor. UltiPro is attractive because it is all one system so the applicant information flows into onboarding which flows into employee management and payroll.

My company selected WebHR because it solved an immediate issue we had in the hiring area, however, I'm used to working with Taleo and Workday, the latter being the one with the best user experience and navigability I've seen. WebHR would definitely be better if it's modernized and the complete UX/UI is improved, the data and processes it handles are great for managing a company, but the usability is the thing that needs the most attention for future versions.

  • We went from receiving about 10 applicants per job posting to 50-100 (depending on the job). That might sound scary but AP makes it easy to manage and select candidates for interviewing. We have a better applicant pool and better hires as a result.
  • They have a feature that posts our jobs to local universities and the state job board (which is required in our industry). This feature is huge for us and not everyone offers it.
  • Bringing in a hiring committee and involving the manager has had a very positive impact on hiring and workforce management over the last several years.

  • We used to lose deals because of losing req information or not having it at all, now we have control and visibility over each hiring deal.
  • We can all access service providers and employee updated information quickly using WebHR for contracts and roadmap.
  • We can coordinate and document client interviews using forms with client availability, speeding up the whole process.
