Appnexus is specifically well suited for CTV campaigns. They have the full technology stack to help you scale campaigns in any format, whether you need a lot of volume in traditional formats like banners and interstitials or if you need high-impact formats like video and other alternatives. Appnexus has a very strong set of unique publishers which makes it a great DSP for branding campaigns.

Meta for Business has made a lot of improvements, but a lot of work still needs to be done as far as troubleshooting. I've had ad issues for months. It's probably getting close to a year. Every time I've submitted troubleshooting tickets, they're either slow to respond or don't respond at all. More than five times I've asked for help with getting the ad issues resolved. This included an online meeting (quite a first), emailing them, and even chatting with them. I went as far as multiple submissions of the materials they requested; I'm still at square one.
Read full review Pros As per my experience they have strong support personnel. Solving the issues as and when required. We can solve certain issues like campaign performance, inventory optimization and more with the help of AppNexus wiki. We get all the required information in the Wiki itself. They have given the right platform to both buyers and sellers to workout and meet their digital marketing needs and goals. It allows us to target towns and even the smallest districts, in our target locations. Pricing - At the moment, Facebook is the cheapest social media platform to advertise on, coupled with the fact it is still the largest mainstream social media platform. Analytics - Facebook for Business provides us with broad and concise analytical data, detailing how each and every of our advert campaigns was received by targeted users. By diving into this provided analytics, we have been able to continuously improve every aspect of our social media advertising campaigns. Read full review Cons The platform is incredibly complex and requires a great deal of understanding of how the platform works that caught us by surprise. The wiki is not enough and when we resorted to reaching out to AppNexus it was a nuisance of having several emails going back and forth. No phone support is offered which would have made several things easier than exchanging confusing emails. Video inventory is still not implemented. Read full review Approval of ads and in general customer service sucks. They won't make you feel like a customer. You'll have to be very careful and beg in case they cancel your account (it happened to us once and they were completely mistaken). Scaling the creation and management of ads was huge room for improvement. The platform is slow and it still misses many massive actions and copying campaigns from one type doesn't let you use the same ads for a different objective... many small management problems that aggregated are not so well. More visibility on their optimization process, so we can also take advantage of it. Some things are a black box. Catalog management works fine but still misses many features to make our lives easier. I love almost everything about AppNexus because I feel like the user data is easy to track because of the identifiers, you can see which adverts got clicked and which were ignored. We can track the location of the ad on the page fold and this makes it so much easier for future campaigns. The only thing I don't like is that the data is only kept for a year, and I'd like it for a longer period of time

We have to continue using this tool in order to be effective on this marketing platform. Though there are several changes I wish we could see, the fact is that we will still need to use this product to provide customers with the information they need.

Because I think the interface is kind of confusing at the beginning and it confuses you a lot.

I gave it this rating because it is so easy to learn to use and you are able to grow a following quickly by knowing when to post and who to post to or how to get in front of those prospects easily, and using those prospects to reach even further without any additional processes on your end through the sharing from your engaged readers.

Because the support team does give you support, they take 24hrs to get back to you but once they open a ticket they focus on resolving the issue for you. My only problem is that you don't have a specific account representative assigned to you.

I've found the Facebook for Business support to be hit or miss. For billing questions they're timely and helpful. For complex questions about specific services I've often received a longer wait and a less helpful experience. I'm often redirected to their docs, which are often not particularly helpful.

If you don't want to display your feed to your boss before going over scheduled posts for the week, use the Business site and it will be less awkward instantly. Having someone lean over your shoulder is always a bit awkward, you think about how you smell, maybe consider offering them gum because they have bad breath

The TTD platform seems to have better CTV/OLV inventory, so that is typically preferred over AppNexus (APN). Usually, if clients have an internal desk, they will use TTD, which can often lead to us bidding against them, which is also another benefit of running campaigns within AppNexus (APN). Google DSP is typically used to increase the scale for display and build larger re-messaging pools.

Facebook stacks up against them in terms of its service. I choose Facebook for Business since I use it for business for almost more than a year now and I need to say this it is the most best possible business tool definitely a must-have for all the businesses type.

Because it's a great DSP but not the best
Read full review Return on Investment The 1 USD audit fee makes it very hard to A/B test creatives and improve performance, hurting ROI. We have been able to reach some users that we weren't able to get before, increasing spending, which is good for ROI. We can run campaigns on TV, which is a big boost for the business, and very ROI positive. Read full review Overall positive ROI has been achieved using this platform. You must have a clear understanding of where your CPL maximums are to remain profitable and either optimize to success or pull the plug on campaigns that are bleeding spend. This is a great platform to build new audiences or grow existing ones. Building audience segments via pixel tracking is a huge win for this platform. Read full review ScreenShots
