I would advise him/her to meet with an Aprimo consultant to understand all of the capabilities of the software. I have a feeling that Aprimo does have the planning capability we urgently desire, but the training platforms Aprimo offers are very limited. Perhaps a valuable proposition would be for certain employees to become power users who are constantly seeking out improvements within our company's use of Aprimo.

This software works great to track your KPI's and to update and monitor your progress on any assignments that are assigned to your and projects you are working on. For simple to-dos and assignments and tasks, etc. it's really effective with a pick list of choices to choose from to update the status, upload files, log hours work, comment, etc. and inform business stakeholders requesting on the progress of a given workfront request it is less appropriate when it comes too it being complex at first, especially if you don't have any training. Like anything newly learned, it takes time and if you're not experienced with project management software you may find yourself in a bit of frustration using it.

  • I'd like for us to be able to pull reports that are a bit more customized. For example, I want to pull a report that enables me to see what task went past due first to see where and how we can improve. That report currently exists but unfortunately, it pulls in every other task that is past due in the project...instead of me just being able to pinpoint where we start to lose time.
  • I'd like to be able to "pin" documents and Updates within a Portfolio for easy reference when looking at a project as a whole.

All that I've said already is why. I suppose the clearest way to say it is that at this point? I cannot imagine running the 300+ active projects in eMarketing without AtTask; it simply wouldn't be possible and even more; I wouldn't imagine why we'd try to find an alternative tool when we have one meeting our needs.

Relatively easy to learn the basics, but there are a significant number of nuances. The system does not have user-friendly ways of allowing mass data manipulation in order to track large budgets over time. The only solution seems to be exporting into an Excel data dump and then performing analysis from there.

I gave a rating of 10 on overall usability because Workfront is cloud based and very easy to use. Workfront also provides collaboration on projects which is critical to a projects success. The tool gives everyone high level visibility in their projects down to the smallest detail. Wonderful project management system, allows you to cut down on emails, meetings and no more spreadsheets for tracking your projects.

I give Workfront a TEN! When I have had an issue, the response time has been quick. The tech support team has always resolved any issues that I report. For the performance of the Workfront system you can go to trust Workfront to receive daily updates as to the status of the servers. When the system acts sluggish I check here to see if there are any performance issues. If there is an issue they let you know they are working on asap. I have been working in Workfront for 2 years and this has happened three times and has been resolved within 30 minutes, and the system has only went down one time and it was for only 25 minutes, once I reported to the tech team, they were already working on the issue to get it resolved. They are awesome, and hat's off to the whole Workfront team!

We are struggling with it though I think it’s our firewall i.e. an internal issue. Accessing the software outside or on mobile is faster.

They have a multi-tenant and single tenant option (more expensive) . We bought the single tenant option in anticipation of using Campaign Management and based upon our scale. You get more capabilities with single tenant

Customer service has been responsive and attentive in line with the service we have bought. However, any organization that wants to make investments in Aprimo should plan to make an investment in internal support headcount to serve as the first line of defense for user issues and inquiries otherwise it could become too expensive.

We are on a standard service plan. You get 8 hours/month of whatever you want to ask them. This has been good enough. Will be buying more when we implement campaign management

It would be nice if the support forms were more dynamic so you could add more information to the support ticket when you enter it to reduce back and forth with the support team member. Also communication on escalated tickets isn't always great. It's gotten better over the years but still needs improvement. Other than that, initial response on support tickets is really quick and the people I've dealt with have always been very professional.

We were very well supported. TopRight who performed the process/requirements definition as well as project management functions came with ample experience with various marketing automation platforms. They also came with very good multi-channel marketing experience that allowed them to tackle this implementation as a marketing deployment and not a technology deployment. TopRight bring expertise in multi-channels strategy.

Aprimo performed the configuration and training functions. Their personnel were very well versed in their platform and brought much empathy to a deployment that required a great deal of change management.

I am stunned by how many people (from for-profit sector who work here) have not been exposed to these types of platforms. I want to make sure that folks are so accustomed to user interface. When I roll-out campaign management, teaching them the art and science of campaign management versus just learning the tool. TopRight are marketers. They are familiar with all these technologies. Their job has been to define processes, best practices and turn into training. Similar to training from Salesforce.com about funnel mgmt etc, vs. just the product. We will create training modules that are agnostic to the platform

Workfront lands in the middle between MS Project and Basecamp. Basecamp was too simplistic and didn't provide enough core project / task management features. MS Project was too rigid and difficult to share project information. Workfront has the right mix of project / task management features and project visibility.

Workfront's overall scalability is able to handle increased loads of work. When using Workfront for a project management tool for the web team, we store documents, images & video's without any issues.   • Thirty US dollars + per month, per user, can get a bit pricey for the mid-size business. I am not sure what their enterprise business pricing is, however, I imagine the ROI is well worth it as many corporations I have worked for use Workfront for both project management as well as timesheet tracking.
