Articulate 360
Articulate 360 is a powerful tool if you plan on teaching any topic. It can be as simple or complex as you like. You can create a Rise course which has videos, interactive Storyline content, quizzes, interactive images, buttons, and more. It's not necessarily suited for compliance training because it is hard to verify completion.

Schoology
Schoology is functional for use in class every day and for assignments homework outside of class. The ability to analyze assignments can assist teachers in meeting the needs of all students. The archive of Schoology function of Schoology is great for retrieving the previous year's lesson plans and assignments, which also allows a teacher to adjust those assignments as needed. It is more difficult to use in the elementary classroom, but that exposure will also help students work in it better at the intermediate, middle, high school levels.

Pros
- Articulate 360 has lots of options: Rise is for simple, HTML-based course content delivery. Storyline is an animation/interactive eLearning designer that is robust yet easy to learn.
- It totally simplifies the review process. When I want to have my boss look at a course I made, I create the Articulate Review link and he can make comments at any point in the course for suggestions/corrections, and the program takes a picture of where he is looking so I know exactly what he is talking about. I can also comment back.
- The content library is high quality and professional. You can search images of people, backgrounds for Storyline projects, or entire project templates that you just plug your content into. It allows you to create content really fast and good looking.

- Schoology will respond pretty quickly to support request.
- Schoology also integrates with Infinite Campus and Google Drive. There are still bugs to fix, but the process is on-going.

Cons
- As I mentioned previously, I need to explore more, but it seems like Review should have some way to have a collaborative 360 place where a team can publish to so that there is one place for everyone to use.
- Storyline gets better with each update and release. I have always wished for a little more flexibility or options in the animation area.

- Schoology needs to improve on support. Although they are quick to respond, I have come across some of their support team who have not had a supportive mindset.
- Schoology needs to improve on the integration with Google. This might not be Schoology's issue, though.
- Schoology has a place to store resources, but it is just templates. You cannot create specific assignments or assessments in the resources area and they transfer over. This would be a great feature if they could fix this.

While we have taken time to re-evaluate our selected 1:1 devices, Schoology's impact on student learning is unquestioned. Students are able to connect with other learners, create and share products of their learning, and develop their digital fluency through their use of Schoology.

It's very easy to use Schoology. As with any LMS, it helps to learn some tips and tricks prior to getting started. But, each item is clearly indicated within the platform. If I want to add materials, it is right at the top of my screen. If I want to view the calendar, it is indicated to the right of my screen. Navigating a course and the platform is quite straightforward. Additionally, the benefit of Schoology's help center and user community makes asking and answering questions quick and easy.

Over the past few months I have seen an increased success rate with support. I have focused many of my requests on the customer chat feature. From there issues can be resolved or passed along to the appropriate parties

Alternatives Considered
Articulate 360 is much more user-friendly than Captivate. I would recommend Articulate over Captivate any day.
