Ascentis Recruiting is well suited for a small company, or a company that is rolling out their very first ATS. The system is less appropriate for mid to larger sized companies; for users/companies that have had a robust ATS in the past. The system is very limited and is not user-friendly/intuitive. Customization for offer letters is difficult. The company nickel and dimes users on any additional buy-up.

It is well suited for anyone who wants to save time in the hiring process. It is very helpful for teams without a large HR dept or staff. For teams that need multiple people to rate and review candidates

Alternatives Considered

Ascentis Recruiting does not even stack up against these platforms. We selected Ascentis Recruiting as it seemed to be a good system for the price point and what our organization needs were.

I don't have much to compare Hireology to other than posting on different job boards. Hireology is better because one post does it all!

Return on Investment

  • Negative: Users do not like the system. It is not intuitive.
  • Negative: Takes a lot of time to get candidate resumes out to hiring managers if you do not have a seat purchased for all of your hiring managers. Should be saving time for an organization but it does not.

  • It has saved us a ton of time trying to get job postings up, checking references, doing background checks and communicating with candidates.
