  • The Agentless Architecture means there are less support burdens.
  • Encryption at Source gives the customer confidence their data is secure.
  • WAN Optimisation (Compression & Block Level Incremential Forever and De-deupe of Data), enables a large amount of Data to be protected offsite.
  • One step Backup to both Local and Offsite storage enables LAN speed restores with offsite peace of mind.
  • Asigra Replication from DS-System to DS-System enables another geographically separate copy of the data.

Bitrix24 is suitable for processing leads, transferring information to members, tracking the conversion and communicating with colleagues. Unfortunately, all these functions, although implemented in this product, but implemented little. It is very inconvenient to work with the leads of both me and the managers

Cons

  • We would like to see Asigra come out with a Replication Model for quick Recovery of systems upon Disaster. We can have quicker recovery, DR, with Virtual Machines but we would like to have Physical Machine recovery in less than 2 hours. Replication can accomplish this...
  • We would like to see Geolocation and remote wipe for endpoint devices
  • We would like to see the solution provide easy "roll back" after a disaster.

  • Sometimes the user interface is too complex in a few parts of the system. It would be great to have the chance to simplify some of them (self-configuration).
  • The permissions feature is limited. We tried to set up a specific user type (to restrict the access to CRM information) based on his own companies/contacts (something basic to a CRM) but it was not possible.
  • The features to manage deals and sales funnel are a bit complex too when compared to other cloud CRM providers. We tried to use this feature for a while but it did not fit to our needs.

Easy to use, great scalability, feature packed... Asigra is truly an end-to-end enterprise solution, not simply a point product. Asigra handles backup and restoration of client data across multiple OS platforms- Windows, Linux, Unix, IBM AS400, Mac X, etc... They include servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, virtual and physical machines. Some key features to note: Deduplication, Continuous Data Protection, Agentless Backup, Replication (New), Silent mode installation, Best of breed/start of art Security, Storage Discovery/Assessment tools, Autonomic healing... and more.Asigra simplifies Cloud backup, period. Do your clients want a full Public Cloud, Hybrid... what about Private built solution? Asigra handles all, with ease and, with over 26 years of ZERO security breaches.

Reliability and Availability

At the front of Asigra availability is the N+1 capabilities of the DS-System. Multiple nodes that load balance and are fault tolerant giving the DS-System a robust availability offering. The N+1 can survive as long as 50% +1 of the nodes are running. Data availability is strong via Asigra's replication module. Both bidirectional and unidirectional replication for the DS-System exist. Bidirectional replication requires the MSP to purchase double the licensing. That cost is going to be passed on to the customer. Many MSP's opt for the unidirectional, which requires a manual switch over on the DS-License server to change a replication vault to a production vault. With that being said, Asigra replication is very efficient and allows for multiple, in-region and out-region backup vaults. The DS-System works best on Linux utilizing PostgreSQL for the backend database. Ideally, this should be clustered. Clustering a PostgreSQL database is not as straight forward as doing it with Microsoft. That adds some administrative overhead and requires some PostgreSQL expertise end users and MSP's have to find.The Windows DS-Client, the piece doing the backup, can be gridded for a multi-node backup cluster. Unfortunately, the Linux DS-Client cannot be gridded.

Online Training

Anything training past level 1 and level 2 is a waste of time. They do not offer training, just an exam and require you to read 2500 pages of their documentation as their training. They are selling you something which you already have. Training exams are far fetched and cover topics hidden within the documentation. A lot of their documentation does not match across itself. They don't even follow the standard versions Major.Minor.ServicePack.Hotfix. They use the MAJOR.MAJOR.MAJOR.Hotfix method, which doesn't match their documentation.They require you to take training in order to keep your engaged hybrid partnership. If you ask me personally, their training is a scam to make more money.

Quick to install, easy to create jobs, schedules and retention policies. No large cycles of setting up backup volumes or trash volumes. Retention job itself configures the BLM functionality so you don't need an expertise to handle the BLM module separately.

Alternatives Considered

Asigra does well at file level backups. It is great at controlling the life cycle of file generations along with meeting requirements of long life retention.

Bitrix24 is very well suited to our oranization as per our busineess function. We need something which partly does CRM function, share function, chat, meetings. In all, we found Bitrix24 better and cheaper than Sharepoint. Sharepoint is very good but it has his own way [of doing things].
