Aspect Unified IP

If you are a call center looking to take advantage of agents being able to work in both an inbound and outbound capacity at the same time I think Aspect is a no-brainer. There is no CTI connectivity to deal with. It is all 100% seamless between all call types (inbound, dialer, manual). The tools are very intuitive, and the backend reporting tables are easy to use/query. If you are a smaller inbound only shop or even a small blend shop this product might be cost-prohibitive especially if it is an on-premise solution. In those cases, their cloud-based solution might make the most sense.

I would recommend Tenfold to any company with CRM or account management software. Being able to manage future appointments and to document it all in one step will increase efficiency.

Pros

Aspect Unified IP

  • When I administer and support this software for a few months, I can comment that, without a doubt, it is good software to start a call center with.
  • The main thing is to indicate that the software can be configured to have high availability with several servers that will help keep the service active.
  • You can count on several telephone lines that will be centralized in the appearance system.
  • The big advantage is that you have call recording and live video, you can also locate the video recordings of all the calls.

  • Outbound Calls made by Tenfold get automatically logged into Salesforce as their own individual tasks (as OBC (for Outbound Call)), however, these Tasks cannot be titled from Tenfold (e.g. "Following up on a proposal"). Similarly calls using Tenfold always creates a new task, making tasks previously created (e.g. "Call to make first contact"), either act as (mostly irrelevant) placeholders, or tasks that still require editing to make call notes, (defeating the value of the Tenfold on-call, note-taking feature).
  • When notes are entered into Tenfold, they can be instantly logged into the notes field of the Salesforce Task, however, if the note is longer than the 'Notes' field, this gets transferred to the 'Comments' section of the Task, with no indication that this is where it went. As such call notes can occasionally appear to have not been taken, have gone missing, or just take longer to find.
  • Occasionally 'click-to-dial' does not work on all numbers you might find in a browser window, and at times the Chrome Extension needs to be reset to get things up and running.
  • Tenfold's app doesn't automatically connect the call/task at the Opportunity level within Salesforce, which is where we do the majority of our activity. Instead it requires an extra step on every call.

The seal of this service was through the revisions according to my corporate needs and I really needed a system that would manage all kinds of calls and support that would give me an active service for a better business management. In fact, he gave me and discovered additional services that the company is using correctly in their daily activities.

This was a cheaper alternative that we looked at originally and decided that we were going to pass. I can't say a TON about it but the gamification and the streamlined UI of the main reports page definitely aided our decision to use tenfold instead. We're paying a little more for Tenfold, but again, we really think it's worth it and ceased looking for alternatives to this day.
