Chose GRIN
The user experience is much better on GRIN. It is much easier to learn and operate than other platforms.
Chose GRIN
We've been very happy with the Grin experience as it lets us invest in own our influencer relationships. We can always tap outside agencies for quick support and additional amplifications within their community, but our North Star is to create the best authentic 1-1 …
Chose GRIN
I've used AspireIQ and Mavrck before - AspireIQ doesn't connect to email and has a limited number of influencers to work with. GRIN can source anyone on the internet vs. AspireIQ which influencers have to sign up to be a part of. Mavrck is most similar to Grin, but it is much …
Chose GRIN
GRIN has the most features and while AspireIQ has an influencer marketplace (which I'd love to see GRIN have one day) GRIN's functionality is better than any other software out there!
Chose GRIN
We chose GRIN because we were recommended by many other happy customers. It has the largest list of influencers we would have access to, which was a huge benefit for us as we are trying to scale our program. It is expensive for a small business like us, but the cost has been …
Chose GRIN
GRIN's ability to pay through its platform and relieve the tax liability on the brand is huge. Also, it is able to integrate or track analytics from many more networks than the others.
Chose GRIN
GRIN is not an opt-in network like AspireIQ and CreatorIQ, which means the database is full of millions of potential influencers on each social platform. This also helps because influencers aren't all looking for tons of payment, and often times just require a product for a …

AspireIQ
I used Aspire to find influencers for my fashion business and most of the influencers who signed up for my project were unreliable and did not fulfill their contract terms. For example, of 5 influencers I sent products to, only one completed the work that was agreed upon under the Terms. The others received a $195 product and disappeared, even though we signed a contract called Terms that is monitored by Aspire. The main downfall with Aspire is that it doesn't have a system in place to control this. For instance, they don't have a way for brands to leave a review for influencers and they don't block bad influencers (many just want free product) from applying for future projects. Aspire doesn't take responsibility for anything. What is the point of paying money to Aspire if they don't vet their influencers and control the quality of influencers who use their platform?

GRIN
GRIN is well suited for companies that are seeking an all-in-one solution for influencer program management and place a high value in repurposing UGC for marketing purposes. I would also say that GRIN makes sense for those who are aggressively scaling their influencer program and are planning on having at least 100-150 creators in the program. GRIN would be less appropriate for companies who may not have a large influencer program and are merely seeking to track affiliate link/coupon code performance.

  • Wide-range of database of influencers
  • Easy navigate in platform

GRIN
  • customer service on all levels
  • streamlines resources (creator search, emails, Shopify orders, payments, etc) all on one platform
  • The amount of customization and overall tools - sometimes this feels overwhelming but I'm grateful they are there to build on as I grow my experience with the platform

Cons
AspireIQ
  • Filtering Messages - things seem to get cluttered easily
  • "Deleting" people in campaigns you don't want to work with instead of dismissing

GRIN
  • Creator search tool - doesn't bring up viable creator options, which means we do primarily off-platform seeding.
  • The landing page is clunky and not functional for reviewing creators - it adds a lot of time to my team's day looking through the creators with the way it's set up.
  • Email templates have funny formatting, and the typeface always seems to get messed up.

I wouldn't be able to run as high of a profitable or functioning influencer program without it. GRIN seriously is the organizational tool that propels us towards success, it is not in any way going to do the work for you, but it does make the work more efficient, easier, and WAY more organized

The user interface of the platform is very well designed and extremely intuitive. You almost don't need an onboarding process because the workflow is so straightforward. The only item I would mention as a downside is the reporting. In order to get comprehensive reports, you need to go into each individual campaign. There is no aggregated report with all conversions.

I don't have any key insights here. If you have someone organized and aware of how the influencer workflow operates then it will be a very easy implementation process for you. I would just ensure you have all of your products setup in Shopify before starting the implementation with Grin.

I was looking around at Dovetale, which connected with Shopify, and although it may be an easy connection because it's within the Shopify website, it isn't as user-friendly. It also doesn't offer the same hands-on experience from the GRIN team, 24/7 customer support, or bi-weekly calls with your direct contact. It just doesn't feel like it's worth it to me for the "convenience."
