AssureSign

I am a freelance photographer and need to have contracts signed often. AssureSign seems to be created for large businesses, law firms, etc. It is not for the small business owner because it is costly. My colleagues are also small business owners. Therefore, I would not be able to recommend AssureSign to them. It might be a great solution to large companies.

We've been using eSign Genie, often daily, for a few months now, after changing from another comparably-priced software that we used for a year. We're a small property rental company that sends guest and pet agreements to renters. It's easy to know the status of each throughout the process. There are advanced features available that we haven't needed to use yet.

Pros

AssureSign

  • Makes document signing much easier to do as opposed to the old fashioned way of signing a paper doc and mailing it back.
  • You don't have to sign up for AssureSign to sign a contract.
Mike Calabro | TrustRadius Reviewer

eSign Genie

  • Guides customers through the contract signing process.
  • Forwards client-executed contracts to our legal dept for countersignature.
  • Sends all parties a copy of fully executed contracts.
  • eSign Genie is less expensive than other e-signing systems.
  • eSign Genie has actual, LIVE, human support to help assist [in] setting up the process for each document template.

Cons

AssureSign

  • It is way too expensive for a small business to use.
  • I can't figure out how to find a contract I signed on their website. I think that if you don't save a copy to your own computer, you lose it.

eSign Genie

  • I have no complaints about this software whatsoever. I started using Echosign years ago until Adobe bought them out and tripled the price and cut features. Then, I went to Docusign that was not very user friendly and the customer support is NON-EXISTENT. eSign Genie is wonderful!

Low cost, easy to use, secure. It would not be worth changing unless something terrible happened.

eSign Genie has live chat support virtually twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. They also have phone and email support as well. On the few occasions that I have had to contact support, they were very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. It's been a pleasure working with the folks at eSign Genie.

There is no implementation at all. You just sign up, upload your documents, set up the fields to complete, and you are done!

I have tried out a few different e-Signature apps. As far as the user end goes, I like DocuSign because it is easy for me to login onto their website and find all of the contracts that I have signed in the past. I use HelloSign when I want to send my contracts to my customers because you can send out up to 3 contracts a month for free. I also tried rightsignature, which I like because it integrates with Freshbooks easily. You only get five signatures for free. After that, you have to pay.

I liked the variety of options that Adobe had for creating fields, checkboxes and the fact that you didn't have to have a coding field. For example you could create a checkbox {{[]}} with this type of coding, where eSign Genie requires a whole line of coding to get a checkbox and then that line takes up space, and you have to hide the coding, so it creates a bit less flexibility in terms of how your documents look. Hiding all the code is a pain in the neck

Return on Investment

  • It saves me time by not having to print out and manually sign contracts, scan them, and then email it back.

eSign Genie

  • eSign Genie was the most affordable option of all vendors which helped us to stay within our project budget.
  • We were able to purchase a relatively small number of document folders which was more appropriate to our needs than say DocuSign which required something like 1,000 documents minimum.
  • The ease of use of eSign Genie helps us to implement new research studies without having to expend a lot of person hours to set things up.
