When it comes to web analytics AT Internet is well suited. We introduced AT Internet in 2017 after an evaluation project with other professional analytics solutions. Starting with our corporate website we quickly rolled it out to our customer experience platform, our webshops, and our corporate intranet based on SharePoint 2013.Especially the use in our intranet brought significant improvements over the standard analytics features SP 2013 is offering. The ATI tag systems with their flexibility allow us to include company-specific properties and thus making it possible for us to analyze our intranet usage on segments such as locations, branches, and so on.

Tealium Customer Data Hub

Tealium iQ Tag Management System should be used on websites and apps that have several different tags. Tealium iQ Tag Management System can act very well as a content layer. It is easy to manage different tags and control them centrally. It should not be used if only one Vendor is in use. If many vendors are used for apps, a combination of Tealium iQ Tag Management System and Tealium EventStream should be considered.

Tealium Customer Data Hub

  • Relationship links. In data management in predictive consumer behavior, there are many variables that may affect whether a customer may come back. In Oil & Gas these "One-Time Customers" aren't really one time but often different companies that buy through each other. Having customers like these is difficult because it becomes near impossible to keep track of their needs. Tealium change this by spotting similar buying patterns as well as similar locations and times for buying.
  • Mobility and connected devices is one of Tealium AudienceStream's major strong points. No longer are people tied to a computer to receive feedback, but we can pull up necessary analytics on-the-go during a meeting, to see things in real time. There is nothing stronger than this, it keeps employees engaged and it minimizes the burden of having to go in and manually look for a data file.
  • Intuitive Dashboard. While this point may seem superficial, there are many softwares that are absolutely powerful in data analytics but completely botch the user interface and dashboard. There is no second guessing or "I wonder what this button does" type of thought processes when you use AudienceStream. It is a program that feels natural to use with intuitive colors and graphs.

Cons

  • Integrations with outside vendors: there are many ways to integrate data from outside vendors, however you can't display this information in every application unless you create a custom field, which can sometimes be limiting.
  • Access rights: there are two places to assign access rights and each place has slightly different functionality. You can get really granular with what each person has access to, but it is easy to miss a check box and have to go back and correct it.
  • Visualizations across applications: there are some really cool visualizations in the oldest application they support that includes predictive traffic estimates, automatic multi-period variations, etc., that aren't available yet in the newer applications.

  • A lot of tags are almost plug and play, but some complex tags (e.g., Sitecatalyst) do require assistance from Tealium's support team. That being said rarely has this help spilled over into billable support hours. It is usually covered by our standard support agreement, which is offered to all clients. The Tealium support team is very available to support us on a daily basis.

I gave this rating because I think that AT Internet is a good tool, user-friendly easy for onboarding and simple dashboards, however the majority of people use Google Analytics, especially media agency, it is easier for them to use Google Analytics.

Overall the experience is very good, it's quick, relaiable and does everything I would want. The only problems I have are matching the correct stats to what I want. It can be painful trying to find the right thing and the explanations are not always the clearest. That's the only issue i've found though.

Compared to Google Tag Manager, which is designed to be a "DIY" type of product making it very easy to use or at least self-service, Tealium has a little more of a learning curve. However, you also have dedicated support to help you through.

I don't have any exemple in mind where AT Internet interface hasn't been available, i have always been able to use AT Internet when i needed it. The only issues to notice is that it happens sometimes that real time or D-1 datas are partially delayed.

On the one hand, Tealium iQ Tag Management System offers a well-maintained ticket system in which tickets can be answered in different languages. On the other hand, Tealium offers a large community and an extensive learning system. If consent is given, Tealium iQ Tag Management System can also independently make adjustments to the customer's profiles. The contact persons are always friendly and competent.

The in-person training unfortunately does not match to our expectations, was too much focus on digital basis and not on AT Internet functionnalties and how to use it. We paid for one day and only 15 minutes at the end was focused on our real needs in terms of media analytics.

AT Internet shows a deep understanding of our business objectives and provide us with ideas on how to solve them. They grant us enough time to try their tools and to be sure the tools are helpful. The data we've got in the Analyzer was manually checked and it was completely correct. Their roadmap was clean and aligned with our strategy

Tealium Customer Data Hub

Google Tag Manager is a very good tag management system considering the price (free). It is still used on one of our supported sites. Even though your company will have to pay for Tealium iQ Tag Management, the benefits it has above Google Tag Manager are worth it in my opinion. The support is amazing and it offers a better interface and marketing tools (like the Tealium Web Companion). If there is something the marketing team can't accomplish on their own, the Tealium support team is always there to help. Adobe DTM was a product that we evaluated at the same time as Tealium iQ Tag Management. Their features seemed comparable to that of Tealium on paper. It was during a demo of the product that the lack of preparation of the presenter and the unintuitive interface unimpressed our marketing team enough that we passed on them.

  • Ease of implementation of new marketing channels - we went from concept to completion in a week and a half when developing a new email program, and that included setting up the API to tie AudienceStream to our ESP.
  • Inspires blue sky thinking - we are no longer limited by the data we can specifically capture, allowing for us to develop a far more relevant and personalized experience both online and off.
  • From a budget standpoint, the spend on this tool is justified by the fact that AudienceStream can be used across other tools to enhance our marketing campaigns there - email, paid search, recommendations, testing, even offline marketing such as catalogs, retail stores, direct mail.
