[I believe] if you do not want to get your phone calls. If you do not want to get your voice mails. If you want to spend hours on the phone or on email trying to get issues resolved that seldom get resolved for as long as you have the service, then this is the company for you. And if you want all of your employees complaining to you that their phones do not work, and you want to lose money due to missing phone calls (lost business, etc) sign up at Office at Hand, [I think] they will not disappoint you in the things listed above.

Dialpad Talk

Dialpad Talk is well suited for in office as well as remote/ on the go office environments. If your cell phone is your primary phone, it allows you to answer phones directly to your "office line" without having to give your Cell phone information out.

AT&T Office@Hand

  • It can handle multiple simultaneous voices very efficiently.

Dialpad Talk

  • Easy to set up – be up and running in minutes.
  • Easy to manage – web GUI makes management simple.
  • Great call quality – when direct to a desk phone or computer or HD audio on mobile quality is great and there is no perceptible delay that you can sometimes get with VOIP.

Cons

AT&T Office@Hand

  • It can include the video facility as well making it a wholesome experience for users.
  • It sometimes malfunctions when the limited number of participants exceed.
  • Early logins create an unwanted advantage to some participants. It should not be.

Dialpad Talk

  • I personally think Dialpad needs to be more wireless. I have a hard time leaving my desk because I have a wired headset on all day and the wireless ones (allowed) do not allow me the functionality I need to answer phones as I need.
  • I would love to see a messaging feature in Dialpad that will [allow] us to send messages.
  • I would like to see more keyboard features as shortcuts.

The Dialpad app is very user friendly. It took very little time for even our most technically-challenged users to adopt it. Dialpad is also constantly upgrading their software so that functionality is gained. User adoption was really amazing. All it took was just making a few outbound calls and a few short videos to train our people.

  1. Dialpad Onboarding support was okay. I think this was because we used a 3rd party vendor. We had a lot of issues with provisioning the phones.
  2. The Dialpad sales rep forgot to mention that Dialpad is only compatible with Polycom desk phones so we bad to purchase new phones last minute.
  3. We were supposed to get 3 months free when we signed up with Dialpad as a courtesy but the charged us for the 3rd month. They have resolved this error but I think there was no designated point of contact on Dialpad's end to help things move more smoothly.

Alternatives Considered

AT&T Office@Hand

Horrible. Collaberate was a little slow at times in responding, but they never just left us hanging with unresolved issues. I am now going with a local guy so I do not have to deal with this stuff. I get very irritated when I am transferred to someone over seas that English is not their first language, and they are working off of a script.Although some of them were more helpful than my assigned migration person.

We used to use 8x8 Express and while we liked it, we found that Dialpad had more features (like syncing events, emails & shared documents via G-Suite) - especially the awesome Voice Intelligence (call transcription) feature. Dialpad will even transcribe a voicemail while it's happening, so can read the text while you're on another call. 8x8 Express did not provide this and had a similar price point to Dialpad. We also found Dialpad to be more user-friendly than 8x8 Express - especially when using the web version. Both 8x8 Express and Dialpad have web meeting / conferencing built in. I must also say that Dialpad customer service is quite impressive.

Return on Investment

AT&T Office@Hand

  • There has been not one positive thing I can say about Office at Hand.
  • [I feel] they have been nothing but an issue.
  • My assigned customer service rep [seems to be] lacking if follow-up, follow through, knowledge of the product, and just seems to not care.
  • When I get his boss, I usually get some resolution, but only some, and then I pushed by her back to him.
  • Believe nothing they say and carve out hours to deal with them on the phone or by email.

Dialpad Talk

  • Quality- With this app we can secure our quality level, always being on top of every interaction and never missing possible behaviors than [need to] be addressed in a timely manner.
  • Flow- During the calls, we have some cards that remind our agents what to say and what to do when a specific word is mentioned.
  • Immediate assistance- As supervisors we use the option to listen on live every possible negative interaction and work it out immediately.
