Lyris LM is suited well with an organization or group that have several lists, as virtual list hosting is not represented by any other hosting company as far as I can tell.

I would suggest that any small business with 1 - 25 employees take a look at Keap. Whether you're selling services or products, whether you sell with a sales team or completely online, Keap has solutions that can help your business run so much more efficiently. On top of that, the follow-up and marketing tools will help you convert more traffic to leads and more leads to customers.

  • Reports: extensive reporting on mailings and membership. Pre-built reports/charts include Mailings, Members, Server Performance, Web site, Purchases, Interest and Surveys. If Aurea ListManager doesn't have the built-in chart needed, you can easily create your own.
  • Easy to analyze mailings: Completed mailing can be analyzed quickly. Options include viewing any errors that may have resulted, and checking list performance, evaluating recipient actions, ( opens, click-troughs). Details can be seen on a per-recipient basis, allowing you to see exactly what happened with each message sent.
  • Discussion Lists. There are numerous list setting to customize each list.

  • Campaign Builder - as I’m a visual person, the ability to map out and build automation on not only sales and marketing funnels, but internal processes as well. This has been a game-changer to setup automation and we continue to reap the rewards years later.
  • CRM - using it as a CRM has allowed me to have a single source of truth for my leads and customers to collect info on, add notes, track and trigger automation savings hours every week, and help prevent leads from falling through the cracks.
  • Innovation - they were one of the first in the market and are still innovating to make the product better.

Keap

  • Keap is almost infinitely customizable, and it is VERY powerful, and I think all that potential can overwhelm the new user. The key is to start small and simple - even little automations can make a huge difference.
  • My business is simple enough that I find Keap's reporting sufficient, but I hear from other business owners that they would like more/different reports.
  • The state-by-state, regional and municipal sales tax thing can get complicated, but I hear they are working on it.

We have invested a lot into Infusionsoft and are using it to automate our processes and marketing. Changing CRMs would have a HUGE cost for us and based on our evaluations, the grass isn't greener elsewhere. Infusiosoft fits most of our needs and is slowly getting better each year. Their support is great and we will continue to use them until something much better comes around or our company outgrows a small business CRM.

You do need to spend some time on-boarding and implementing the software in order to have full functionality. We were lucky - we had colleagues at the university with experience with Keap and then hired an intern familiar with the software to get us set up and ready to use it. We've had some functionality issues with it along the way and that has frustrated myself and the other uses in our department.

This training is taught often to the lowest common denominator so as to help as many customers of theirs as possible. We do the training and coaching and implementations for our clients. But clients who I know who have been to their training get trained well. The gap that can exist lies in you doing your part and really investing in using and building out the application.The training and education is only as good as your willingness to apply it.

We selected Lyris LM based on cost, the fact that we can create custom reports and the way that they handle bounced emails just to name a few, It is easy to use and we have control of who can and cannot use. With a virtual list I can create a list or take a list down at any given time without filling out a form or contact with my provider and my list looks as if it is coming from my own server @museum.com.

Keap

Keap is in a little bit of a different league as it's more of an all-in-one but there are similarities and differences that are worth comparing. Keap is a more comprehensive tool where you're getting most of your key business management features ranging from invoicing to email marketing and everything in between. One of the biggest benefits to the solo CEO or business owner with a small team is the ability to eliminate the cost of all those other applications. What's lacking in Keap that you'll find in the other CRMs (like Pipedrive and Zoho specifically) is reporting, customizable views and dashboards, and better role-based permissions and controls. This is specifically referring to Keap Pro and Max (not Keap Classic).

  • Aurea as a company is mediocre with support. The former LM staff was better informed about the product.
  • LM can do almost anything you need. it's complete.
  • ROI has suffered as Aurea has not updated the product, charges a considerable amount for renewals, promises with no results.
