Lyris LM is suited well with an organization or group that have several lists, as virtual list hosting is not represented by any other hosting company as far as I can tell.

If you are starting a business and need to create your initial list with automations, keap works really good. Better than Mailchimp for example. But after you start collecting mails, the CRM included, works as stated. The CRM is great and features a pipeline where you can count on. The idea of having a phone line to receive call, works only in the states and this feature should be extend worldwide. Clients are everywhere. Also having more languages available other than english, will be a plus. One thing thow. Keap do not work well when trying to comunicate in other language than english.

Pros
Aurea
  • Reports: extensive reporting on mailings and membership. Pre-built reports/charts include Mailings, Members, Server Performance, Web site, Purchases, Interest and Surveys. If Aurea ListManager doesn't have the built-in chart needed, you can easily create your own.
  • Easy to analyze mailings: Completed mailing can be analyzed quickly. Options include viewing any errors that may have resulted, and checking list performance, evaluating recipient actions, ( opens, click-troughs). Details can be seen on a per-recipient basis, allowing you to see exactly what happened with each message sent.
  • Discussion Lists. There are numerous list setting to customize each list.

Cons
Aurea
  • Tech support is limited for standard users, especially during non business hours even for critical errors
  • Installation/upgrade is often complicated
  • Version releases are too frequent

  • More articles and videos on how to use the various functions of Keap
  • Having representatives designated to certain regions or companies for a point of contact when help is needed
  • More options when building the emails. While the click and drop options can be a plus, they can also be negative because you are limited to image and text sizing and positions

We will most likely not use Lyris LM for much longer. We have recently been offered to utilize a different software that better meets our needs, is current, user friendly, and has fantastic reporting capabilities.

We have invested a lot into Infusionsoft and are using it to automate our processes and marketing. Changing CRMs would have a HUGE cost for us and based on our evaluations, the grass isn't greener elsewhere. Infusiosoft fits most of our needs and is slowly getting better each year. Their support is great and we will continue to use them until something much better comes around or our company outgrows a small business CRM.

You do need to spend some time on-boarding and implementing the software in order to have full functionality. We were lucky - we had colleagues at the university with experience with Keap and then hired an intern familiar with the software to get us set up and ready to use it. We've had some functionality issues with it along the way and that has frustrated myself and the other uses in our department.

OMG, it's all in one and that compromises everything, fundamentally. If you want a race car, invest in a race car. If you want a dune buggy, get that. If you want a boat that floats, go for it.

I have not needed to utilize customer support during my use of Lyris LM.

Generally, very responsive support for even our more complicated issues. We do have some open issues that we need resolutions on and that I understand are complicated and will take longer to resolve but the open issues are significantly impacting to our business.

I have been to a number of in-person training sessions over the years with Keap and all of them have been FANTASTIC. They really put a lot of time and effort into these sessions. Staff and facilitators go out of their way to ensure that participants are getting what they need.

The results of training online are often based on how people learn. The training was great but with feature updates, you just have to get in there sometimes and do it! The training definitely lays a firm enough foundation for you to be successful even if its can't be updated with every feature update.

Don't let the fear of implementing a new software solution keep you from unleashing the power of automation that Infusionsoft provides. With the right implementation partner, the process can not only be smooth and painless, it can actually help you get a better understanding for how your current communication process can be improved upon.

We selected Lyris LM based on cost, the fact that we can create custom reports and the way that they handle bounced emails just to name a few, It is easy to use and we have control of who can and cannot use. With a virtual list I can create a list or take a list down at any given time without filling out a form or contact with my provider and my list looks as if it is coming from my own server @museum.com.

Systeme IO is a great software with a much lower cost, but it isn't nearly as robust and it doesn't meet HIPAA standards which are essential to our business. Go High Level on the other hand is a powerful software that is limited by design and oversimplified. It really just cuts the legs out from under the business in an effort to sell white labels and avoid asking users to invest in themselves. We've tried several other automation and CRM platforms as well but none of them offer as much functionality as Keap and ultimately we would be spending way more time and money to make the multitude of services work together the way we need than we are going all in on Keap.

You get a lot of features included, but you don't need to use them all at once to start seeing an effect. When you are ready to use them, they are there. It also scales without costing too much money.

Return on Investment
Aurea
  • Aurea as a company is mediocre with support. The former LM staff was better informed about the product.
  • LM can do almost anything you need. it's complete.
  • ROI has suffered as Aurea has not updated the product, charges a considerable amount for renewals, promises with no results.

  • I recently created a FB ads funnel with Keap that brought a 2.29 ROI. That's right - with some simple automation, I was able to more than double my money. #happyentrepreneur
  • Keap's automation has made my business SUSTAINABLE. So if I'm on vacation, or out sick, or just busy with a new project, Keap insures that I'm staying on top of everything.
  • Keap has allowed me to sell and deliver programs priced from 99 cents to $10k, fill 100+ person events, launch books, fill a retreat in Belize, deliver a podcast, create a thriving membership site and generate enough profit that I don't have to do anything else to support myself and my family.
