Pros

Exception handling is pretty decent. WE don't have to worry about process being stuck as it moves to the next iteration on its own.
Automation is easier to achieve as it doesn't require high coding skills or designing a specific framework.
It can achieve PDF editing and automation, which in our case of policy documents has been valuable.

Multi Store Tables - allowing to store data in default store and extended store as per data ageing.
In Production Environment it allows same host deployments (Hana host + Dynamic Tiering). No need to have separate dedicated server for each of them.
Incremental and differential backups - Reducing backup times and storage requirements.

Cons

Automation Anywhere doesn't come with easy installation, We need to install Java, IDEs and Databases in an orderly fashion which we are not able to do.
Automation Anywhere has no workflow design which is not making us to understand the process.
Automation Anywhere has no fit to size object cloning.

Support - hard to find resources online so you are often dealing with an issue for a while.
UI could be more intuative, takes a while to get use to or train users.
Using a couple of models can make it not respond effectively.
Doesn't support text data type.

At this moment we are not focusing on SAP, however would love to in the future. This is primarily because of our limited ability to generate more revenue to fund for SAP partnerships and products. Our initial tryst with SAP Partneredge open ecosystem didn't go as planned and we have shelved that for now. Hope we can revive in the future

On more complex use cases, Automation Anywhere requires technical background like knowledge on network protocols and database language on task creation, and even people with technical background might have some trouble in the beginning because of the product particularities on how variable manipulation works, or how to get the object cloning (a more resilient screen manipulation command) to work as intended.The scheduling of tasks on the Control Room and the autologin feature isn't intuitive as they should, so much of this works requires documentation analysis to get it done on the first time.

In addition to the points described in the previous parts of the review, I believe that as I gain more experience with the product over time, I will be able to better describe my experience with this tool. Meanwhile, I can confirm that the possibilities presented to my organization by the change to SAP HANA, at the moment, have been very important to evolve the analytical and strategic field towards a new path.

Automation Anywhere is a great tool for a low cost, fairly easily scalable, and quickly learned. The company is growing by leaps and bounds and continually pushing the automation boundaries. The problem with fast expansion is that sometimes you can grow more quickly than you can appropriately support your products. While Automation Anywhere has an excellent support structure in place, every company and situation is different, and they often struggle with why problems arise in the system and how to fix them.

SAP HANA is stable product now. However, we would be interested an even better and clearly defined roadmap. In terms of availability of technical resources with enough expertise to handle complex business challenges, SAP needs to take up the initiative of enabling partners and larger community. Better awareness around best practice content and tighter integration between SIs and product vendor is required.

Alternatives Considered

Other than Automaton Anywhere I have also used UiPath. What I like about Automation Anywhere is the object cloning and the way you can move the mouse and either go to a particular point or go to an element. That's very easy and intuitive in Automation Anywhere. It gets the job done in terms of getting the data out of the pages. Although I have other tools, I still have this habit of going through the clicks. If you're going through the clicks, Automation Anywhere is the best.

[Despite] of the high operational costs involved I can vouch for the fact the new [SAP] HANA cloud solution is by far worth it as they have included a significant amount of machine learning features, introduced a new computational algorithm a more improved ui and also the general security and robust performance on offer.

Our overall business has saved numerous hours of work where individuals were freed up to perform higher level thinking tasks.
Following a necessary reduction in workforce that was not driven by RPA, we were able to automate processes that kept the remaining workload from overwhelming the remaining workforce.
The use of robotics process automation has inspired many workers to come up with different approaches to problems including both automation and analytics.

The [strategies] and the time consumed on migrating to HANA was time [consuming] and costly during the initial phases of the project.
The time and resources utilized to set up the infra plan from requirements to production was huge.
But once we were getting into cadence of utilizing the open architecture of HANA we were able to utilize its features that helped us to leverage.
Again I would say that overall for us HANA [has] proved to be worth spending for as it helped us achieve our business's objectives.
