VIPRE (formerly known as ThreatTrack Security) is an antivirus solution, now part of J2 Global's portfolio of cloud offerings and applications since the February 2018 acquisition.
If a company is in need of an anti-virus that would help them in saving their data against all kinds of virus attacks then Avast is just a witty option. The utilization of cyberspace is inevitable and it is necessary to make it secure and Avast is a good option. There can be multiple powerful antivirus tools but the price of it is highly suitable and is the cheapest among its competitors.
Robust protection with a small footprint. Catches all malware and viruses, while respecting the exclusions put in place by our organization. Pricing was very aggressive compared to other products. Great management application, where you can manage the installations and even update third-party apps on those machines from that portal. Great product for a great price.
Avast Business Antivirus does particularly well detecting any threads in real time in order to it's live scanner that's constantly detecting any changes in your system.
Avast Business Antivirus is very good with your system resources saving you time when you are on demanding tasks that can make your system slow.
Avast Business Antivirus is amazing keeping constantly updated with latest virus and threads definitions that can harm your system keeping it secure all the time.
Alerts - these are handy for sure, but some alerts, when turned on, can flood your Inbox. I'd like to see a more granular approach that sets limits on how many times an alert will be delivered.
Fingerprint access on the mobile app would be awesome.
Aside from that, some of the menu paths are not straightforward. Like the install client creation can only be done from the dashboard (to my knowledge) when it should be done from the policy and/or device pages. Make the interface a little more intuitive.
When using older versions of Outlook I have seen the plugin cause sluggish behavior and hangs, in 2007 and 2010 versions specifically.
For some business applications, there are .dll's and libraries and application .exe's that can be misidentified as virus or trojans. While it is fairly easy to whitelist these once discovered, new implementors should be aware that they will need to carefully look through their initial virus scan reports to find and whitelist these items.
While it has many features and 3 tiered business model starting from basic essentials to premium it depends upon the infrastructure and enterprise needs what to implement. But this product is of value for money and many of the features this tool offers are easy to implement and maintain. It also has implementation guide
VIPRE is very easy to use and administer. You have a lot of functionality from the server on what you can do with the clients. It has proved useful when I can't access a client any other way. I can reboot the computer from the server and then usually get back into that machine.
I gave this rating because after using this fantastic product. Everything is under my control and also all my databases are secure enough and also quite convenient to be managed. Thus, it’s a really good application in each and every regard that totally supports me in the best way.
VIPRE support is usually pretty quick. Sometimes you have to get a lot of information to send back so they can see the issue. This has not been too bad and I understand why it's needed. VIPRE also has a free rescue tool that is very useful and easy to use. There have been others but VIPRE seems to keep theirs updated. It's my go-to even outside of work.
We once had an experience of using the AVG AntiVirus Business Edition for eight months and we experienced something surprising that it was not effective and active much as the prices were also too low as compared to Avast Business Antivirus. In short, to explain, Avast Business Antivirus is just [an] amazing antivirus and is working well enough with our organization to protect our systems. From our side, Avast is the best antivirus platform to experience by any organization.
We got a chance to buy AVG Business edition and we tried to install that throughout our organization and most specifically to our important systems but it was not compatible with a majority of them and we found AVG as high-demand software with a mediocre speed of action and more pricing. So in comparison to AVG, VIPRE is good in all aspects.
