Great for a mid-size company, great for OFCCP documentation, multiple users friendly. Might be a challenge in a larger environment where there is a more built out, streamlined process in place unless there was a specialist to set it up exactly to the needs of the organization and the process.

Overall, it is a fine ATS. We are able to manage candidates and requisitions fine. But we aren't able to take it to the next level. Disappointed in how the base system doesn't provide a good way to continue outreach to candidates - there is a lot of leg work and reports that need run to accomplish this. Unfortunately, we would have to spend more money to get additional functionality, but being a not-for-profit we aren't able to do that at this point. I wish I had more control of our Workflow. Unfortunately, I have to depend on customer support for too much. And reaching them in a timely manner [I feel] is nearly impossible.Our implementation specialist was not a good experience. The individual [I feel] was not a good trainer or project manager and our go-live suffered because of it. However, iCIMS Talent Cloud did provide us with a complementary optimization, which we had the best project manager for that endeavor and happy with the end product.Hoping our salesperson will eventually come through and partner us with a customer success manager that will truly want to see us succeed and maximize the system we are in contract with.

  • Search capabilities - ability to pipeline top talent.
  • Communication with hiring managers in the hiring manager portal - resumes/notes don't get lost in email and are always accessible to anyone involved in the hiring process.
  • Ability to customize - we've been able to change work flows for different needs, and different business groups as well.

  • User friendly - I feel it is easy to use and we are able to roll it out with minimal training for our field
  • System availability - we have limited to almost no issues with the system being slow or not available during business hours.

  • Easily over-engineered. While it's great to be able to customize, there are times where there are too many choices.
  • Would like to see it integrate better with our HRIS system.
  • Still a lot of manual steps in the workflow.

  • Complex Searches - It can get a little busy with searches and if you aren't great at that type of reporting, it can be overwhelming.
  • Customer Service Wait Times - [In my experience] It is so difficult to get through by phone to customer service and when you put in a ticket online or through email, it takes FOREVER to get a response that way either.
  • Visual - iCims is a great platform but it looks a little dated. Maybe a more modern upgrade would be nice.

I would say that we are very likely to renew with iCIMS. They seem to continuously be improving their product based on the feedback from their clients. In addition, the thought have having to go through another implementation of this level is daunting and as long as the software continues to meet the business needs of the company and provides the appropriate level of support we will most likely stay. Costs regarding future renewals will also impact this decision and if necessary we will go to market to evaluate other options.

We just love iCIMS. Our hiring managers love iCIMS. I give it a 9 because some hiring managers do not have to use it as regularly and need reminders on what to do. It really improved our experience with our ATS overall and I wouldn't want to work in any other system in my job.

There is always ample advance notice before the software goes down for maintenance and this is usually done at off-peak hours. As for system failures - I can't think of any that have effected us in over two years od use.

Overall the customer service with iCIMS Talent Cloud is very good. Support is given through an online ticket system or via a call center. I also recently had a very good experience with my most recent Customer Success Manager as we met on a monthly basis to address any issues or upcoming products. I found this personalized support extremely helpful.

I would say I believe iCims online training is very good. It's informative, visually appealing, and simple in explaining all the different aspects of iCims. I also really like the new candidate onboarding, and all the other training curricula you have up to be able to inform or send out to the candidate. I like you can attach a URL link for videos as well so you can really customize the training. I feel that overall, I would like to see more. Perhaps, more robust options with the training, if that's something iCims is expanding on in the future.

Avature is much better than OpenHire! OpenHire didn't give us the ability to share resumes or notes through the system and was very complicated to keep track of candidates that applied to multiple jobs or duplicate candidates. Was also very archaic in the interfacing and usability. Avature gave us many more options to customize our system.

In my past job, I used PeopleSoft as both our ATS and HRIS. At my current employer, we use PeopleSoft as the HRIS and iCIMS Talent Cloud as the ATS. I greatly prefer the application management features of iCIMS Talent Cloud as well as the increased level of customization. However, there was a lot of setup and ongoing maintenance involved with that kind of platform. I know that's not everyone. For those who want a faster setup, simpler processes, or with more basic needs, you might consider other platforms.

  • We do have a prime integration set up with our background check vendor through iCIMS Talent Cloud. It is an easy process to move candidates through all the systems in the recruiting cycle at an efficient pace since we do have all the steps set up in the system.
