For a simple VOIP phone solution, it does do what it needs to do - provides clear phone calls on a functional phone system. If you need a VOIP solution in your small business it should work just fine, but if you want to spend a little more money and can I'd highly suggest it as there are much nicer solutions out there now.

Cisco Webex Calling

Cisco Webex Calling is perfect for when you would like to connect with someone virtually and also see their face. It is also good for multiple people on a call. It wouldn’t be appropriate if you’re having a one-on-one conversation with someone and seeing their facial expressions isn’t important to the conversation.

  • Same extension used in 2 or 3 devises or phones to get reachable all the time
  • Mobile client helps in mobility where within office we are available where ever we go.
  • Phone look and Display is wide and good. Also the Phone is robust to be used.

  • Security - As this is a cloud-based solution, updates are easily implemented meaning better security, which is essential for the company overall.

Cisco Webex Calling

  • Although I put it in the pros column I can also see it being a con for some, and that is seeing everyone on the bottom of the screen. Although I have not done it myself I would imagine there is a way to minimize or avoid having all panels up altogether. But I could see this being distracting to some.
  • I do think the price is high, but for as efficient as it is I understand that the price is worth the value.
  • This product, without being paired with others, could be viewed as not worth it. To me, I felt we had the most value out of it once we incorporated other products such as the Whiteboard.

It is a very easy product to deploy and configure and to really take advantage of. It does not matter if you are using it in an office or your home, or for a security office or a collaboration meeting room - you have the right endpoint available for each case and the configuration parameters to improve the functionality you need.

I have been working for a long time with Cisco as a provider and also Cisco TAC and Cisco Support Engineers.
The support starts right beforehand in the documentation of the product you are interested in. From the start you have a good, complete, and detailed and easy to read datasheet and there's always someone available to answer any questions.

We use CenturyLink Hosted VoIP in our executive office and the phones are way more modern looking and have more features, and was easier to implement. Hoping to maybe someday use them in our primary office.

Did not try or evaluate any other products to compare. This was due, in part, to other cisco products we have used successfully in the past and continued with our brand loyalty. The product once again has not disappointed us in any way and we will continue to use and evaluate future products in these categories.

  • Single number reach has helped our operations team to be connected anytime required.
  • Management team is with Mobile client where decision making is quick and no calls are lost as mobile is available all the time.
  • Voice Quality is extremely good and helps in getting many ppl in conference with ease.
  • Voicemail system is used to leave important message when not available and Call Back feature is extremely great.
