Azul Platform Prime vs. SAP Business Technology Platform

If you want some low cost JDK provider where you need the frequent updates as well, you can go ahead for Azul Zing instead of OpenJDK. But if budget is not a concern, I would recommend going for some well known company such as Oracle. Also if you are using Azul for production, make sure to use it for Dev ENV too so as to reproduce issues.

If using other applications or products within SAP, it is a no brainier to have SAP Business Technology Platform available to be able to create apps and create new ways to support the business. I feel like it is most suitable in my scenario from a user access management standpoint as a user access management tool that is simple to use and understand, and there are a lot of resources to guide through the process and how it is used.

I gave this rating because we are using SAP Business Technology Platform as a platform for cloud applications. It is helping us shaping our digital product capacity in many ways. We are different applications like BAS to design the custom application. CPI to enable the integration between applications including non SAP applications. IAG is helping to enable governance for cloud applications.

Azul has better JVM garbage collection on machines with huge amounts of memory that the OSS version of Java doesn't handle

Prime support has been responsive in helping us tune our JVM parameters and diagnose any lingering Java resource issues.

Very similar to other SAP product in terms of support experience. Once you got to the right team, they will fix and / or advise the work around properly. Sometimes it seems like it takes forever to reach the right team. Another challenge is number of times we have to repeat the issues to different groups, and the number of times we have to capture logs.

SAP Concur allows our staff to book, reimburse and remain spend audit compliant. Our Concur system takes feed from Workday and interacts with Credit card vendor. It also makes posting to Accounting and does clearing. SAP Business Technology Platform helped in establishing connection with all these different tools in real time. It helps in getting paid to the card service provider through our Bank through interface, which is built on SAP Business Technology Platform.
