First of all, BambooHR is not cost-effective if you do not have a lot of processes that you are looking to streamline. In short, you need to examine what you are currently doing and determine whether BambooHR has an equivalent process that can replace it and help make things smoother. Mid-size companies might have better success with BambooHR given the cost, as well, but smaller companies can manage if the budget is there. If you're looking to provide more self-serve options to employees and free up your HR team/individual to do more on the strategy and development side of HR, BambooHR can definitely help with that. Ultimately, you need to consider the ROI on BambooHR and whether its implementation will provide the right amount of benefits to justify the change overall, which may be harder than it sounds in some cases.

We took the trial of 3 HR software before going with BizMerlinHR. We wanted to have a comprehensive HR solution to cover our Paperless employee records, employee onboarding, PTO, Timesheets and Employee Performance Management. We were not looking for an Applicant Tracking system and Retention management module, but when we saw the functionality and easy use we were completely sold to those modules as well. It was like add-on but the price of everything was more economical than the other software that we were reviewing

- Helpful homepage that includes lots of useful information at a glance. I especially like the "Who's Out" section which shows photos of all the employees not in the office. Because we are a global company with lots of offices in different time zones, it's essential to know who's on vacation for communication purposes.
- The interface is very user friendly. The functionality felt intuitive the first time I used it: I instantly knew how to request time off, look up other employees, etc.
- The employee directory is very useful. It displays everyone's title, photo, LinkedIn, contact info, etc. It's easy to search by name, title, department, etc. and to create custom filters.

- It's got a mobile app and is also cloud based.
- The goals module is our biggest used module. It also has great features like instant feedback, applicant tracking and onboarding.

- I found the playform not so intuitive when it came to customizing user role permissions. Again, I had no formal training, so I suspect this is more user inexperience vs a system issue.
- Very minor, but to access the main company calendar you have to hover over a particular section of the homepage. Employees would often struggle to find this.
- I honestly cannot think of anything else. It really is a well thought out and designed platform.

I like the fact that they keep sending you new information and keep you up to date to interesting Human Resource subjects of what's happening on the market . It is also a very dynamic and "young" platform with easy to read materials. the website, the colors and the front used is also very attractive and make the overall product very desirable.

Does not have many problems and this ensures all of users are able to use it reliably. There is a free demo available to illustrate the accurate usage of the platform and even customer support. All of these help in improving the usability of the platform and ensure that all users are comfortable with the platform.

- We had had an overall good experience; however, when there have been a handful of times when errors occurred in reports after payroll processing, and it has sometimes been difficult to get responses from support promptly.
- We had a significant issue with 1099 processing as there was a printing error on Bamboo's side; however, despite our reaching out to check the status, the rep communicated a timeline that was not met. We were not contacted until the day before the IRS deadline that our 1099's were not printed and would not be processed in time. This specific situation has caused us to prepare our 1099's in the future either internally or through another party.

I would say they both have a lot of strengths for sure. Workday manages data on a mass scale a little bit better in my opinion, but Bamboo HR is more user friendly and pleasing to the eyes

Also, they really mean when they say "No setup fees" - because they helped us move all of our legacy data into the new system at no extra charge and helped us integrate with QuickBooks online. They definitely provide the best value of money when comparing the same set of features.
We have been using BizMerlinHR since 2018, and both our HR managers and users are very happy.

- The less time our employees need to go to HR for questions and requests, the faster we are able to move and get things done which allow for people to continue working on their day to day jobs. We have insight into when people will be in and out of the office and can schedule things accordingly. All around insight into employee information is fantastic. Great product.
