Likelihood to Recommend BindHQ is great for the insurance industry. Scenarios in which it is used in accounting: 1. Looking up policies and seeing if they have been paid. 2. Sending out statements and allowing for review of those statements in an organized function. It provides Agency Bill/Direct Bill, Receivables/Payables, Open/Closed. 3. It allows for us to post/offset and make decisions based on producer, carriers, finance companies and agents directions. Scenarios where it is less appropriate. 1. Outside of the insurance field. But just saying that as for right now. It does not mean that this kind of platform is not usable for other industries, but it would need to be modeled to fit each industry. It has all the core structures needed to help organize and run a business.

Not suited for a heavy commercial lines agency and/or one that has large, complex accounts. Too much policy detail isn't available within the system, so you end up having to either 1) go to carrier websites to pull copies of policies to determine accurate coverage, which is a hassle, especially if an active, endorsement active account or 2) go into documents to pull up copy(ies) of policy/endorsements to determine coverage or 3) keep a master copy of the policy, as issued (as a PDF) and note every endorsement change on that PDF, so you have one place to easily access how coverage stands at this point in time.
Read full review Pros The option for us to CC the BindHQ email to file our correspondence with agents, carriers etc. is my first point for convenience. It is important for us to document just about every piece of every conversation we have and that option makes it seamless to operate efficiently and diligently. It is easy to navigate. Simple as that. The layout is aesthetic and well spaced. The pertinent information pertaining to individual accounts is accessible and placed right across the top of the page. The ability to move from the current account to an expired account or the other way toward the renewal is very helpful. Often we need to access the previous years information and being able to do that just with a simple drop down at the top of the page makes it quick. Read full review Strategic Insurance Software
Good search function in documents. Easy to drag emails/documents into the system and attach to client profile. Read full review Cons Rating option directly from account input - I would like to see this feature launched so that we could have a single entry feature that can obtain rates from multiple carriers Bdx Reporting - This would help with binding authority business, especially when a monthly report must be sent to a carrier partner Read full review Strategic Insurance Software
Prospect side of system lacks functionality of the client side. No search function in notes/the main area to view all activity (not just documents, but any additional notes such as logs of discussions with producers/clients/prospects, logged phone calls, etc.). Should have same search functionality in Notes as in Documents. "Quick Summary" profiles lack functionality of true client profile area. No ability to turn off downloads..........wipes out too much underwriting detail. Too many lines of business don't download (not sure whether SIS Partner issue or carrier side issue). No Garage, Crime, Equipment Floaters, Builders Risk-Installation Floater, etc. From a commercial standpoint, their policy detail really only addresses the five major lines of business, i.e., Property, GL, Auto, WC and Umbrella. Other ancillary lines, there is no where to input policy detail (other than in a General Remarks section), which doesn't show up on the "summary" detail. Very apparent this system was developed for Personal Lines and not meant to handle large, sophisticated Commercial Lines accounts. When you deal with their Help Desk folks........they are totally insurance unknowledgeable, and often don't understand what is being asked of them. Help Desk "pat" answer is "we'll add it to the enhancement list", but there are thing requested long ago and still not fixed/changed. It's hard to beat that kind of mobile work lifestyle particularly in the current world climate

Support Rating It was hit-or-miss in the past but they seem to have taken steps to improve this. As of the past 6 months, they've been pretty quick to patch bugs and fix issues when we report them

Alternatives Considered When comparing these to BindHQ, without a doubt, it is MUCH easier to navigate through AR and AP modules, applying cash, issuing checks, viewing policies, working remotely (no remote desktop), Gmail features with attaching emails to policies. But the main takeaway with what outshines than any other agency management system out there is the smooth transition from moving from AR to AP modules. You just can’t find that anywhere.

Horrible! There are other systems that would have been better than this, even if management didn't want to spend the $$$ to upgrade to Epic...

Believe management choose the system strictly based on price and you get what you pay for. That's what happens when you're owned by a bank that doesn't get/understand insurance. Read full review ScreenShots Partner Platform Screenshots
