ClickUp is an all-in-one productivity platform. It’s a hub where teams can come together to plan, organize, and collaborate on work using tasks, Docs, Chat, Goals, and Whiteboard. Customized with just a few clicks, ClickUp lets teams of all types and sizes deliver work more effectively, boosting productivity to new heights. ClickUp states its core mission is to make the world more productive by removing friction caused by using many different applications. ClickUp…
The best scenarios for the use of BoardPro are highlighted when there is planning, development, coordination, execution and monitoring of projects and activities, in addition to being an information panel for all the members of the different teams of the organization, it provides the ability to hold meetings, an integrating element that stands out from other software. The management of the boards is exceptionally intuitive and easy to use, in addition to simplifying its content in a way that is easy to understand for all people, granting continuity and consistency to the work or works to be developed. An area of opportunity where it could be developed in a better way is offline work, since it will not be possible for your team members to work in this way.
In my opinion, ClickUp is beneficial for solo entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies alike! There are just so many options that you can use (or not enable if not needed.) If you have never used an online project management tool before then it might be a bit overwhelming and too big of a learning curve to start with ClickUp.
Agenda-setting and writing minutes is very easy with the built-in structure offered
Compiling and distributing Board packs with BoardPro takes a fraction of the time it used to - and updates to papers are so much easier
Ability to hold all governance documents in one central repository is useful for external Directors
Directors find the Board paper annotation feature very useful. New updates to this have made it an extremely powerful tool.
Flying Minutes feature is very useful for obtaining formal decisions between meetings and then automatically adding them to the next set of minutes.
The ability for Directors to update their own interests in the Interests Register is efficient and puts the responsibility on them to ensure this is up to date - this is automatically included in each Board pack.
The actions feature is fantastic - allocating a person responsible and an action deadline which then is followed up by BoardPro email reminders keeps people on tasks and allows the Chair to stay on top of actions as they are reported in the Board packs each meeting.
More templates! The more ideas on how to use ClickUp, the better.
More integrations/automations outside ClickUp - using Zapier is a quick-fix but long term would be great to stay within the ClickUp ecosystem
Delegate mode! As an Executive Assistant, I would love to be able to access a delegate version for my execs (create their dashboards, complete or flag tasks, etc.)
We're very pleased with how the system works in general. For over a year we've barely ever had any problems with ClickUp and there might have only been one or two times when it wasn't operational for us due to a global emergency. Moreover, when we had a problem once with renewing our licenses we've been contacted directly by our account manager and taken care of in a very professional way (with a due refund as well). The exceptional customer service makes us firmly believe that ClickUp is just the right tool for us.
Far easier to use than any other PM tool. ClickUp is incredibly intuitive and had us saving time and energy within the first week of implementation. In my opinion, PM software should make it easier to focus on the deliverables - it shouldn't take all your time and energy to learn how to use the tool in the first place. ClickUp is a user-friendly tool that actually helps us focus on what's important.
I would rate ClickUp's availability as an 8. In my experience, ClickUp has been available when I need it most of the time. However, there have been a few instances where there were some issues with application errors or unplanned outages that affected my work. The reason for this rating is that ClickUp's support team was able to address these issues quickly and efficiently. They communicated well with their users during the outages and provided updates regularly, which helped to minimize the impact on my work.Overall, I feel that ClickUp has done a good job of ensuring that their platform is available when I need it, and they have been responsive in addressing any issues that arise. While there have been a few bumps along the way, I am generally satisfied with the availability of ClickUp and feel confident in using it for my day-to-day work.
I understand that it's a beast and does a lot of things, which is probably why it's laggy. But I do find it takes longer than I'd like to load, and if I am sending a complex document to a client or team member they aren't quite sure if they're getting the right thing at first. This is actually a pretty significant problem - my biggest beef with ClickUp.
ClickUp support is incredible! They respond quickly with any questions about my issue, provide a timeline, and elaborate on how they will solve my problem. They are incredibly respectful and accommodating. Whenever I run into an issue, I know that ClickUp support will be happy to answer any questions and help my team out. When I start a support ticket, I know that I won't be getting sent article recommendations, I will be speaking to their customer support team immediately
There are multiple guides on literally all of the functions you can find within the system, therefore it's easy to learn anything you'd really like to use, starting from project and people management, down to Gantts, mind maps, time tracking, inviting Clients as guests to work with you on the projects and so much more.
Implementing ClickUp has been a great learning experience for our organization. We had a few key insights regarding the implementation process that we would like to share. Firstly, we realized that having a clear understanding of our workflow and business processes was critical to the success of the implementation. This helped us to identify the key features and functionalities of ClickUp that we needed to focus on.Secondly, we found that involving key stakeholders and users from different departments in the implementation process was essential. This ensured that their needs were taken into account and they were able to provide valuable feedback during the process.Thirdly, we learned that thorough training and support are crucial to the success of the implementation. ClickUp provides excellent resources and support to help users get up to speed with the platform.Overall, the implementation of ClickUp has been a positive experience for our organization, and we would highly recommend it to others. With the right approach and support, it can help streamline workflows and improve productivity.
BoardPro is on a different playing field than monday.com, in fact, BoardPro is in a league of it's own. I used monday.com at a different organisation board and actually found that I did not use it. I found it easier to download and read the PDF board pack that was provided to me. The user interface of BoardPro is such that the software is easy to navigate and use, it is intuitive and such a delight to use.
A client wanted us to use Asana a few years ago. We used it but was not happy with it. ClickUp is easier to use. I've not really tried to use any other PM tool successfully. We did use one based on Traction but got rid. We can run meeting via clickup if we want
As with any software vendor, there may be aspects of the contract terms and pricing model for ClickUp that customers would like to see changed or improved. Here are some potential areas for improvement:Pricing tiers: ClickUp offers a variety of pricing tiers based on the number of users and features needed, but some customers may feel that the pricing is too high for their needs. They may appreciate more flexibility in choosing the features they want at a lower price point.Contract length: Some customers may prefer shorter contract lengths or the ability to pay on a month-to-month basis rather than committing to a longer-term contract.Discount options: While ClickUp does offer discounts for annual contracts and non-profit organizations, some customers may want additional discount options such as volume discounts or loyalty rewards for long-term customers.Transparency: Some customers may want more transparency around pricing and contract terms, including clear explanations of what is included in each pricing tier and any additional fees or charges.Overall, while ClickUp's pricing model is generally fair and transparent, there may be opportunities for the vendor to offer more flexibility and customization to meet the unique needs of individual customers.
Scaling with ClickUp is superb. If you create a workflow best suited for your organization then it's all about creating new accounts and teaching the new employees the workflow you're using. It's that simple. There is no black magic when it comes to Clickup.
While ClickUp itself is an excellent product, I found the professional services to be somewhat lacking. While they were generally helpful in answering my questions and providing guidance, I felt that there was a lack of communication and follow-up throughout the implementation process. In some cases, I had to wait longer than expected to receive responses to my questions, and I found that the support team was not always able to provide the level of guidance and expertise that I needed. Additionally, I found the documentation and resources provided by the professional services team to be somewhat limited and not always as helpful as they could have been.Overall, while the professional services team was able to help me get started with ClickUp, I felt that there was room for improvement in terms of communication, responsiveness, and the quality of the guidance and resources provided. As such, I gave them a rating of 5 out of 10.
