Bugzilla is one of the best elements of email promotion because
it is inconceivable as they answer addresses quickly and it gives varieties of
arrangements to follow up also this CRM is receptive and it can be modified
to fit all ventures and requirements.

  • Bugzilla is easy to use and access
  • Bug search criteria is very efficent
  • Renaming and saving each bug search thread is useful
  • The UI of how bugs are listed, especially allowing the option to change columns, edit search is very useful

  • Dashboard - If a landing page with a graphical display was available for use by management, that would help a lot.
  • Customizing - Need more flexibility with customizing fields (renaming, adding etc).
  • Workflow - If we could have templates that could be followed by various projects (which is how organizations work), that would encourage more project teams to adopt usage of Bugzilla.
  • Add/Filter Enhancements or Requirements - Often times an enhancement is logged that is not a bug, but this cannot be distinguished easily. Provide option to log not just a bug, but also Enhancements or Requirements.

This is a pretty straightforward system. You put in the bug details, a ticket is created, the team is notified. The user interface reflects this very simple and straightforward flow. It's certainly much easier than trying to track bugs with using Excel and email.

Compared to other tools, Bugzilla is an affordable bug tracking tool that can be used for logging defects. It's a good, nice and reliable tool, which can be used initially for logging defects. Also, the list and status of the defects can be obtained easily by filtering/querying the fields. The report (along with graph) provides more detailed information about the defects of a project thus helping the management to know about the product quality.

  • It is great bug repository where all the bugs are kept with proper status
  • It has good report of bugs where you can filter bugs release wise, status wise
  • Email notification is one of the feature where you get the alert if any bug is posted or status is changed
