Bullhorn Recruitment CRM

Bullhorn is only appropriate for staffing/recruiting agencies, or internal corporate recruiters. It is made to track jobs, candidates, placements, and is not well suited for any other scenario. Bullhorn integrates with other, more robust software for sales and leads gen, but itself is not a sales or lead gen tool. Bullhorn works best when you integrate with the other services you're already using, like your background screening vendor, phone service, or other analytics tools.

Pros

  • Bullhorn allows for multiple users to edit a profile. For example, if I meet with Joe Johnson, I can upload his resume and my colleague who might meet with him 3 months down the line can go into his profile and edit t update his resume.
  • Another thing I feel Bullhorn does well and that is a strength would be the ability to track emails and communication outside of the tool. It does this by using the emails in the system. For example, if I email the candidate from my Outlook, because I emailed the candidate's email address, it is tracked which is awesome because looking through outlook for one email can be a pain!
  • Easy to use! We have different offices across the country and every new hire is able to use this quickly and efficiently.

Cons

  • Duplicate profiles. I think this feature is great but our system has so many duplicate profiles, there should be a way to clean it out and improve this feature to stop duplicates.
  • Freezing. The system will freeze a lot while uploading a new resume or profile. For example,when I upload the resume, the name will disappear and make it so that I have to reenter all of the information.
  • The software is a little clunkly, and although it's a newer version, it seems a bit outdated. While the platform is web-based, it fails to run smoothly through a mobile platform, and often times, the loading times are a little sluggish.

Bullhorn really works for me and what I do. I can move through full desk recruiting and use it to both market to clients as well as recruit candidates. Overall, it has helped to keep my business on track and to evaluate how well I am doing and to track effectively

They don't care, they want you off the phone, and you have to talk to multiple people where you repeat your problem again and again before they tell you they will call you back. They never will call you back, so you'll call the next day & repeat the cycle until you finally shame someone into fixing your problem or threaten them with legal action due to breach of contract.

Alternatives Considered

I think that each of these tools have their pros and their cons. Bullhorn was easier to use and learn to use for daily work and recruitment. I love the tearsheets feature of Bullhorn which was a great plus for this tool over others. Recording necessary information to ensure that all previous phone calls, notes, emails, are safely and accurately reported for future reference. It makes all future candidates much easier to screen. iCIMS is great for their templates feature but all around Bullhorn really works wonders for a recruiter!

Return on Investment

  • Bullhorn solves the problem of forgetting past candidates that may fit a job in the future. Bullhorn allows you to search the candidates using the quick search tool and use them for other opportunities.
  • Positive impact would be tearsheets, we use these for every role we work on to easily keep track of all candidates.
  • With the new laws set to take place, regarding salary history, Bullhorn makes it easier to negotiate for proper salary offers.
