Soluno is a user-friendly, cloud-based accounting and business management software for law firms of all sizes.
Well-suited to a small to midsized law firm setting. Would also recommend for management seek easy ways to keep track of a large volume of business and to track which staff are doing what. The software isn't the best suited for running a lot of complex reports--we can obtain simple information in the reports, but sometimes we find ourselves pulling certain data from Zola and working with it in other software environments instead.
Soluno works well in a smaller firm that is not transaction heavy. I would not recommend this solution to a transaction-heavy or larger law firm such as a busy real estate practice
Soluno does not allow for multiple trust to general transfers in one transaction.
In my opinion, Soluno is difficult to create/customize reports and billing templates.
As Soluno has grown, I feel their support has gotten poor.
From my experience, Soluno is glitchy at times and appears to be an ongoing project which has farther to go to meet the needs of larger law firms.
Soluno works best for firms that are not transaction heavy. It is not a product I would recommend to a busy real estate firm or any other type of law that is transaction heavy.
Soluno does not allow for fee allocation until after a file is billed IE: you cannot split a fee between a responsible attorney and a working attorney at the time entry level.
The training and support can use improvement.
Needs to be easier to customize re: user security, billing templates, custom reports.
I didn't have the ultimate decision-making power to choose Zola. Clio was more expensive and may have offered a more robust platform, but with some options we didn't need. Westlaw was good for case management, but we would have likely still needed separate software to patch together something like Zola. Zola support isn't that great, but we rarely need it.
PCLaw still has more to offer overall than Soluno however neither program is without its issues. Soluno is still limited in its overall offerings compared to PCLaw. As a cloud-based solution Soluno is still the best option on the market at this time
