For day to day work and official virtual meetings/calls the headsets are best suited. They are compact, handy, lightweight with a dynamic mic and good control. However, I don't think that for intense audio recording and voice modulations I'll rely on the products because the market is so diversified and on branding part there are so many options available which directly affects Cisco's market. So, for busy jam packed with work office day if you need good comfortable experience Cisco Headsets come very handy.

Cloudtalk is by far the best value-for-price software out there for call center solutions. Packed with features, very accessible, kind and accessible customer support, and cheap, especially when compared with their competitors for the same range of features. Easy entry-level software, especially if you're a startup that doesn't want to make big initial commitments but needs a solution that scales with the business.

Pros
Cisco
  • Cancel the noise side of things. You can't hear anything in the background. I quite often talk really loud because I can't hear myself talking and it's comfortable. They are really comfortable. We've got the wireless ones and they just sit so comfortably on your head. Amazing.

  • Their smart dialer option reduces time spent typing in number and helps make more calls
  • It makes life super easy to keep track of calls being made and how long calls are but also to listen back on calls made

Cons
Cisco
  • Being able to adjust the sound profiles from places other than a phone app
  • Make it so the USB wireless dongle is reliable
  • The touch controls on the outside don't always seem to work reliably the ones on the back work just fine

  • A lot of features are still missing, some of which are pretty basic like being able to select multiple filters instead of one.
  • Desktop app has had some instability issue.
  • IVR needs to be self-recorded which can lead to a lower quality.

Usability
Cisco
I have yet to find a use case where the 730 is not appropriate. The audio quality and active noise cancellation capabilities are excellent, and the portability puts it above many alternatives.

CloudTalk is super easy to use and has a great quality. It helps to communicate with the clients easily and we can feel that the sound quality is high, while speaking to the client and while listening to the recordings. This is for our department essential in our day to day work.

Support Rating
Cisco
Too expensive and too heavy and too uncomfortable. It just didn't deliver the experience that we thought we would get based on the price. I can get the same features, for cheaper, with a more comfortable headset from another vendor. So overall this one just never got put on the final list.

They are skilled, experienced, and anytime I need something and contact the support time, I get the right person who understands my needs and reacts to them accordingly. So far I was only pleasantly surprised by the level of support these guys provide and coming from a customer service oriented background myself, I can only say keep it up guys, you are doing a fantastic job!

Alternatives Considered
Cisco
We selected Cisco headsets because of our long-term existing partnership with Cisco, something we value. But that being said, there are competitor headsets that I've seen at the same price that offer far more functionality, which I guess could be improved in the Cisco headsets.

It was a gamble if I'm being honest, plus this is a very nuanced and intricate topic. We didn't necessarily substitute one for the other, it was a much needed state of affairs where we needed the call monitoring and agent tracking pros of CloudTalk more so than ever before.

Return on Investment
Cisco
  • Superior quality has enhanced overall experience of meeting and calls
  • High compability and Ability to connect to wide range of devices have increased ease of working
  • Decent battery life and quick-charge is desirable for long calls
  • Pairing fails sometimes and requires multiple tries which is time consuming
  • Unintentional unmuting/muting during client call can cause major issues. There is requirement for a smart mute feature

  • For a similar price it is not necessary to manage so many cell phone accounts
  • Unlike basic telephony. It is possible to have more control of the interactions with our clients.
  • For administrators it allows better control of commercial actions or the corresponding area for communication issues
