Cisco Aironet 1550 Series Access Points

Cisco Aironet 1550 Series Access Points is very useful for outdoor locations that are more exposed to the wilderness or the weather, which provides uninterrupted wifi access during high winds and bad weather. It also is useful for hazardous locations that are prone to danger or wildlife. Unfortunately, it would not be appropriate to get a Cisco Aironet 1550 Series Access Point if it is only needed for basic wifi use, or indoor use, as the extra features and price would not be necessary.

D-Link Wireless

Best in small networks & appropriate in industrial areas. AP works fine in any temperature & location (in remote locations office or remote location). Open area wireless connectivity is good with good range. Simple VLAN management and management are good. Backup and restoration is very good. Small home offices using wireless network work awesome.

Alternatives Considered

Cisco Aironet 1550 Series Access Points

The Cisco Aironet 1560 Series Access Point is very similar to the Cisco Aironet 1550 Series Access Point, but it has many differences too. The Cisco Aironet 1560 Series Access Points is made for more of an indoor use and less heavy-duty environments which leads to it being smaller and lighter. The Cisco Aironet 1550 Series Access Point is used for more of an outdoor use and heavy-duty environments which leads to it being much larger and heavier. Overall, if indoor use is required, I would recommend the 1560, but if outdoor use in hazardous and bad weather locations is required, I would recommend the 1550.

D-Link Wireless

Against my requirement, D-link fulfills all of these including pricing, unified controller, and the mitigation of rouge APs.
