Cisco Headsets vs. Zimbra Email & Collaboration

For day to day work and official virtual meetings/calls the headsets are best suited. They are compact, handy, lightweight with a dynamic mic and good control. However, I don't think that for intense audio recording and voice modulations I'll rely on the products because the market is so diversified and on branding part there are so many options available which directly affects Cisco's market. So, for busy jam packed with work office day if you need good comfortable experience Cisco Headsets come very handy.

Zimbra is great for an email system for a medium or large organization with appropriate IT staffing. The system is easy to use for end-users, and has a fantastic web interface. Unfortunately, it is overly complex, when considering staffing requirements and price, when compared with Office 365 or Google Apps for smaller organizations. For other education customers, it is hard to compete with Microsoft and Google providing their services for "Free" now though

• Cancel the noise side of things. You can't hear anything in the background. I quite often talk really loud because I can't hear myself talking and it's comfortable. They are really comfortable. We've got the wireless ones and they just sit so comfortably on your head. Amazing.

• It has a friendly and modern graphic interface.
• It is compatible with all operating systems.

• Being able to adjust the sound profiles from places other than a phone app
• Make it so the USB wireless dongle is reliable
• The touch controls on the outside don't always seem to work reliably the ones on the back work just fine

• The password change is not activated when you access by IMAP, Pop3 or Exchange sync. You have to know that the password change is required and you must go to the website to do so.
• The management of mail rules should have more checking options.
• There should be more applications compatible with Zimbra, the ones that appear in the Zimlets.

I have yet to find a use case where the 730 is not appropriate. The audio quality and active noise cancellation capabilities are excellent, and the portability puts it above many alternatives.

Too expensive and too heavy and too uncomfortable. It just didn't deliver the experience that we thought we would get based on the price. I can get the same features, for cheaper, with a more comfortable headset from another vendor. So overall this one just never got put on the final list.

Overall, we were satisfied with the implementation. We perhaps should have spent more time consulting with Zimbra or others regarding best practices but as we got to know the system better we were able to make changes relatively easily after the fact.

We selected Cisco headsets because of our long-term existing partnership with Cisco, something we value. But that being said, there are competitor headsets that I've seen at the same price that offer far more functionality, which I guess could be improved in the Cisco headsets.

We selected Zimbra because it has a lower cost in the market, offers more development features for its open source, has a very easy to use interface and adjusts to the needs of the company.

• High compability and Ability to connect to wide range of devices have increased ease of working
• Decent battery life and quick-charge is desirable for long calls
• Pairing fails sometimes and requires multiple tries which is time consuming
• Unintentional unmuting/muting during client call can cause major issues. There is requirement for a smart mute feature

• Since all of our ROI studies and strategies are performed at the corporate level, I'm really not sure what positive or negative impacts Zimbra has had on our overall business objectives. I can say that at least one positive impact it has on my business objectives, in the medical record department, is the ability to be as paperless as possible.
