Cisco

Although the 6800 range(opens in new tab) may not be as flashy as some of Cisco’s other VoIP offerings, it still delivers reliable, business-grade audio(opens in new tab) in an energy-efficient package that will appeal to many organizations. Specifically designed for companies with “moderate to active VoIP needs,” the 6800 range gives businesses five models to choose from, depending on their specific needs. As security becomes more important, Customers should choose the 7800 series. All of the 7800 models boast the latest security and encryption. Solutions (opens in new tab) so organizations need not worry about audio data being intercepted or interfered with. Pros

Cisco

  • The speaker is pretty good and almost as clear as the 7800 and 8800 series phones.
  • It is about the same as a 7841 in almost every aspect, except it has no POE, but the power adapter is included. It also doesn't have as sleek of a look, and the screen is quite low in resolution.
  • It delivers reliable, business-grade audio(opens in a new tab) in an energy-efficient package that will appeal to many organizations. Specifically designed for companies with “moderate to active VoIP needs.

Cons

Cisco

  • So while the 6800 range may not offer slick features, it still provides all the core functionality that businesses have come to expect from their VoIP handsets.
  • Most of the handsets that make up the 6800 series do come with a greyscale display, which may be disappointing if employees are used to working with color VoIP solutions.

  • Onboarding process was rough in the beginning.
  • Installation and setup was not that easy.
  • I'm not happy about the shipping charges. It didn't show up in my offer, and my salesman didn't tell me.

What I got as insight from our implementation team was that it did not take much time and the process was quick and easy. Besides that, the short time we were obliged to wait explains how comfortable it is to implement the software.

I prefer recent models of Cisco IP phone; they have better values and features, I don't know the other phone brands that I have used, but the audio and video quality of Cisco is much better.

Invoca has been more on cloud-center and call center data around for an SEO functionality for marketing campaigns. PanTerra borrows on the same start but does not center for SEO or marketing, instead high-end KPI reporting while Invoca is to be used more for the VOC (Voice of the Cusomter) analytics instead

    Return on Investment

    Cisco

    • I set up the desk for new hires in our group - it is super easy to plug in this phone and have them up and running.
    • Having the ability to pre-program speed dial numbers ensures that new hires are able to reach help without having to search for a number.
    • The ability to program ring tones is great, so if we are in the shared space meeting and we hear a phone ring, we know who's phone is ringing - the meeting can go on without everyone leaving to check.
