    Zix Email Threat Protection

    Recently a malicious email came through (direct email from a breached iCloud account pretending to be our president) - the email appeared by all points to be legitimate, but went to several former employees and several unrelated employees. Once caught, I was able to retract the message from all mailboxes and distribution lists with one click. This is much more effective than other systems with no retraction, and your only option is to send an email to all that received the previous email asking them to delete, or using PowerShell commands.

    Zix Email Threat Protection

    • Makes it easy for those receiving emails to create an account and retrieve the email.
    • Peace of mind knowing emails are secure, and can be tracked.
    • Monitoring inbound email threats is easy.
    • Support has been very quick resolving or explaining support tickets I've created.

    Cisco Secure Email

    • Email blocking using header-from address.
    • Spam reporting to Cisco needs to be improved.
    • Clustering: active-active mode would be nice.
    • Creating filters from GIU.
    • Filters samples or database built-in the box would be super nice.

    Zix Email Threat Protection

    • Ease of use. Other competitors platform is WAY easier to use and customize.
    • You have to cover THE ENTIRE ORGANIZATION with coverage, even though only a handful will need to use email encryption
    • The Zix Protect platform is a complete joke to customize and use.

    Good interface, easy to use and set up. If there were any issues, there is very good documentation and videos that one can follow for additional setup and best practices. As typical with most Cisco solutions, there are more features than needed for our purposes but good to know they are there in case of future needs

    Zix gets a perfect 10 out of 10. End users can just work. With our previous solution, staff would have to determine if a message had sensitive information and then send it securely. Zix scans each message and ensures that the message does not fail into one of the pre-defined rulesets.

    It provides us with another layer of defense and has proven to be a great asset and return on investment. Nothing is perfect but this is definitely something to evaluate if you are in the market looking to implement a new email gateway solution or upgrade from something that you already have in place.

    Zix is very good about response times and information. They even proactively e-mail us about known issues. I have never had an issue go unresolved, and the support team tends to answer quickly unless it's a strange, complicated request. The only time that happened was doing a search through logs, and that was entirely on me and my unfamiliarity with their flavor of Linux.

    Cisco Secure Email

    Cisco Secure Email gives granular control over configuring the rules and policies for organization users. Additionally, it's available with on-premise support, which is where other solutions lack. It gives complete protection for emails with next-generation malware protection, file reputation, and sandboxing technologies. It can also give you control over outgoing emails.

    Zix Email Threat Protection

    Even though employees are highly skeptical and apprehensive to use the product, I try to trust that the Zix scanning is doing its job and protecting what it needs to. I certainly worry about it on a regular basis though.

    • I take our responsibility to protect our clients info seriously and Zix has taken a load of worry off of my shoulders.
    • Zix bolsters our image and shows folks we're serious about their privacy.
    • It not only helps me but helps me rest assured that all of my agents clients are protected.
