Cisco Secure Endpoint is a very good endpoint protection solution. It would be particularly good for someone with the time and ability to really work with it to get the most out of it. This would include the other Cisco product integrations and systems that it works well with.

It provides great web security and will protect your devices against viruses and malware when paired with other security software and hardware. For instance, we have multiple layers of security set up so if McAfee misses something then one of our other barriers will catch the infection or intrusion before it reaches the network. I would not suggest using this product as a standalone agent because I do not think it will be as effective when working by itself. The dashboard also makes it convenient to manage devices, policies, and settings from wherever you are so it's an ideal solution for any IT department to use. I would just suggest using something else as a backup so your network isn't left vulnerable.

- The detection level is better than Windows defender.
- The e-policy orchestration management console that comes with it enables us to oversee the devices remotely, run scans on the endpoints, and update their virus definitions forcibly.
- It sends regular updates and therefore each endpoints stays safe individually.
- Furthermore, it has a very easy to understand interface.

Cisco Secure Endpoint (formerly Cisco AMP)
- Event search function. The searching is very limited and allows for poor filtering choices.
- Slowness. The web GUI is far slower than most Cisco products.
- Sync issues. When attempting to move a device from one group to another or start isolation on a device, there is a sizable delay in communication with the device that can cause operations to fail.

- My biggest flak with McAfee Endpoint Security is that it is quite resource-intensive. It does tend to make the system a little slow. You get security at the expense of your machine's speed.
- Even though the drive encryption makes the system more secure, it takes a lot of time to first enter the very long password, and then for it to decrypt the whole machine. This sometimes clashes with Windows update and causes a lot of complications which leads to boot loops.

AMP is very difficult to use compared to other products we've seen. It's hard to understand why there are so many different logins for the various products that supposedly integrate with AMP. We had weekly phone calls for months to implement the product yet none of the IT department really enjoys using this product or feels comfortable with the accuracy of detections. The number of false positives is high.

Like most Cisco products, Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) for Endpoints has a great knowledge base on Cisco's community portal, but unfortunately the Cisco support team cannot always clearly describe the solution for your issue, especially if it is related to the demo period. Nevertheless, Cisco goes to great efforts to improve your current situation with Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) for Endpoints support.

The support is pretty good, and I haven't had any issues with getting the highest quality technical support when there are issues. Tech support representatives that I have dealt with know the product quite well and have solved many issues that I have had with the product in the past. The only issue I have with support is that it can be quite expensive.

Being all products of a similar nature, Cisco Advance Malware Protection stands out for its simplicity, low resource consumption, reporting, work dashboards and integration with the rest of the already installed suit.
Those are the most notable aspects, although the rest of the solutions were very good, all the capabilities added together make this product surpassing.

If you have Cisco tools and equipment globally in place and just for the clients additionally McAfee you should have a deeper look. We wanted to install end-2-end security over all networks and hardware. This was a big point for Cisco. For a managed client team, Cisco is a step which they do not want in the first round.

Cisco Secure Endpoint (formerly Cisco AMP)
- AMP has been able to catch some serious infections and stop them from doing huge damage in our environment.
- The overall cost of AMP vs the cost of not having this protection and getting hit with malware, or other nefarious damage to your environment is well worth the money.

- The first thing is protection. According to my career I have to always deal with the internet. If I was not a user of this software many times I would have lost all of my documents due to a virus attack. Many times we plug USB devices to a PC and after scanning the USB I saw many threats using this software. So if I am not a user of this software I would have lost my documents many time. Thank you McAfee Endpoint security!
- Another thing is this software is always concerned about our privacy. It means this is not only a virus blocker it’s anti-hacker software. They place extra effort to our privacy. They auto detect email and block the emails which email trying to steal our data.
- Another thing is the save our passwords. So we don’t have to waste our time to type passwords we can simply enter an account through facial recognition or fingerprint. So no one can access my account without my permission. It’s helped make my work easy and I don’t have to memorize my password.
