Perfect for the remote home office/teleworker who needs to collaborate internally and externally and perhaps doesn't want an additional phone on their desk. Well suited for people who are on meetings a lot and want to have something similar to a face-to-face with a high-quality and streamlined experience.

HighFive is great if you fit their use case, which is basically a Mac or Windows user that wants to conference 2-3 locations together and have a lot of bandwidth. If you don't fit that exactly, HighFive is much less ideal. For example, if you have any Linux users, HighFive won't work at all for them. Also, if you want more capabilities beyond the basics, HighFive doesn't give you much.

  • Lacking fancy features like background blurrying and MS Teams integration ( available on the desk pro device)
  • During setup the difference between registering the device as either s perdonal or room device wasn't clear untill I wasn't able to perform certain actions such as teansferring a meeting from mobile to dx80. I had to reset and re-register the device in room mode to get it to work as I expected.

  • Getting Rick-Rolled by your co-workers...
  • Highfive can at times lag, or run slowly if you or one of the participants in the meeting has slow internet.
  • Setting up Highfive correctly can be a bit complicated for those who are tech challenged.

We have never had any issues so far except that there is some flakiness in the internet bandwidth now that everyone works from home, etc. We have a very good IT team that is on top of any challenges executives face while using the system. They also take care proactively of any updates they need to do to keep everything up and working.

I've only on a few occasions had to reach out to support at high five and in each case, it was to find out it was a feature that didn't exist and would let me know if it gets added. They never added the feature and never followed up. Not even to check in and see how the issue was.

We use the complete Cisco Webex portfolio of products to complement each other to ensure a very productive and efficient collaborative offering. All systems work very well together and in tandem with the Cisco infrastructure that we have within our company including telecommunications. The integration with email platforms as well to allow for the synchronization of calendars and other information is a great asset to team members.

Highfive has thus far proved to be a better system for having video conferencing. Don't get me wrong, I like Zoom, but Highfive is cleaner and easier to use. Video recording is a game changer with Highfive and I'm so glad they added it! I use Highfive just about everyday, while I find myself using Zoom less and less.

  • It helped us get our Sr. Leadership team familiar with and excited about Webex. Then, them spreading the word helped align the company with the new Webex software coming and saved us a bunch on training. When users were more excited about a product, they soak it in better.
  • This device has been a mainstay in our COVID working from home plans. This allows the business to keep running AND meet face to face when it's not safe yet to do so.

  • It's been great to have one universal platform for every employee to use to call in, even while Slack and Google Hangouts are options.
  • We can't rely on HighFive because of the poor quality, and since it's our default platform, it can be delay meetings with poor quality or cofusion as to which platform is best to use.
