Considered Both Products
Webex App
Chose Webex App
Webex Teams is a good trade-off of features and ease of use. When compared to Slack, the licensing fees are better when you have a large number of users. The chat and video call features are similar to Webex Teams feeling like a more mature product.
We still have an Adobe Connect
Chose Webex App
Pretty much the same. But Webex Teams seemed to run a bit smoother (take less local resources) than Microsoft Teams did. So that was a pretty good selling point. Also, it's kinds of a Skype vs. Webex Meetings question. Because obviously Webex Teams works great with Webex …
Chose Webex App
Webex (formerly Webex Teams) is a very easy to use and understand tool. It can be compared and used together with Webex Meetings, and if you want more security, you can use Cisco AnyConnect. All Cisco products can coexist with each other and work very simply without …
Chose Webex App
I would still use both for different use cases.
Chose Webex App
Cisco Jabber prevails over the Skype for Business option, particularly in those organizations where Cisco infrastructure exists, such as the Communications Manager suite, voice gateways and brand devices that use services for the PSTN, since integrations and interoperability …
Chose Webex App
Security aspects applied in all ways of communications, as voice, chat and video, as well as collaboration when you must escalate from a chat discussion to a meeting, or when sharing a document on line or you screen, Webex App offers it natively. Your content is protected, no …
Chose Webex App
I still actually use both MS/Cisco Teams daily. I've been doing so long it almost feels natural and I mostly have muscle memory as to which contacts are on which platform. Teams between Cisco and MSFT have a similar look and feel but you definitely notice a much tighter …
Chose Webex App
We really haven't used or evaluated any other products that compare to Webex (formerly Cisco Spark / Webex Teams) so I can't really compare them. We chose Webex Teams because I tried the free one for a while and when they included it with Webex Meetings it was a no brainer! It …
Chose Webex App
Zoom and Slack are the go-to platforms in our industry. People just know how to use them when they come into our company because they've been exposed to market share before. That wasn't the case with Cisco Jabber. It felt like a rarity. I keep saying it's a smaller player among …
Chose Webex App
I think Teams is more seamlessly integrated for functions within Teams, and certainly requires less customer expertise, as most of the heavy lifting is in the Webex cloud. I think that Skype integrates better for traditional federations as Teams really has no native solution …
Chose Webex App
It has more features, a LOT more security, ROI is in the region of up to 10x cheaper than our existing PBXes that are at sites. The Spaces and Teams set up is very easy to do, the extended features, once enabled, are even more so. The fact you can also manage it from a web …
Chose Webex App
The optimized and low use of the bandwidth is easy to install and there is a version for PCs and another version for smartphones.
Chose Webex App
Webex App has now integrated the above mentioned into their workflow allowing us to use one tool instead of multiple. We found previous tools in our environment out-dated and decided to move to webex and become an inhouse all webex shop.
Chose Webex App
I just started using this, but it doesn't seem as intuitive as Webex App. The presence status of others is hard to identify/understand. Also, the sync with the application on the mobile device seems not to work properly. It dropped the call I was in through my desktop once I …
Chose Webex App
Webex App is more integrated with our webex video devices and on-premise CUCM PBX solution and offers better way how to communicate with external participants - customers without the need to use multiple user accounts or instances of the app.
Chose Webex App
We're currently in the evaluation process of Microsoft Teams. We haven't been at the point of making a decision.
Chose Webex App
The availability of the tool and the follow-up that is given by Cisco to ensure 100% operation or to solve a problem if it occurs, is very good.
Chose Webex App
When required, we can plan a session with our customers that need support.
Chose Webex App
All of them are similar, the main advantage is using the whole Cisco stack, they integrate easy with a variety of Cisco products. And what makes them shine is the API integration with external tools for task automation.
Chose Webex App
The interface is way friendlier not only for the end user but for the admin. The console is super intuitive that even someone like me that had zero technical background was able to master the administration.
Webex Meetings
Chose Webex Meetings
We use Webex App for instant messaging, file sharing and calling. Webex Meetings has better features to make virtual meetings more effective.
Chose Webex Meetings
This platform offers a set of valuable tools that significantly improve communication and foster collaborative work.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex Meetings integrates with other Webex products like Slido increasing our engagement and making the meetings or sessions more interactive. Additionally, the virtual backgrounds are highly customisable and the video and audio quality are better than that of other …
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex Meetings meets or exceeds all other tools I've used in the past, both for call quality and tools/options. Some other tools have security issues, or lower tools and option sets, or are more difficult to navigate and use. Webex Meetings has it all and gets it done with ease.
Chose Webex Meetings
We selected Cisco (including Webex meetings) because we had a Cisco on-prem UC platform that integrates to the Webex app which includes meetings. This allowed us to leverage our existing voice investment and have a single app for voice messaging and meetings.
Chose Webex Meetings
WebEx meetings have been out long before the beginning of Covid 19. Therefore, it is a product that has been used by many industries in the past, and not just after the pandemic. in WebEx meetings, it is easy to schedule meetings, it is easy to share screens, and it is easy to …
Chose Webex Meetings
I am not a big fan of Zoom but used for some ceremonies. Looks like some old tech, and I feel like it is not secure enough. Webex Meetings look more decent and authenticated, and more secure. CGI uses Teams for all their meetings; it's as good as Webex Meetings.
Chose Webex Meetings
I prefer Webex Meetings vs. Microsoft Teams. I feel like there are better features with Webex. The customers are like most of us, when they have to switch to a new platform (i.e. from MS Teams to Webex) is learning curve and big adjustment. They find features they like and …
Chose Webex Meetings
My old company used to use a different tool for collab, but when I came to my new role they were using Webex teams and calling. This was so much more easier to navigate. I liked being able to be on the run and still answering calls and attending meetings.
Chose Webex Meetings
I think Webex is the superior product to both Microsoft and Zoom. Microsoft's interface is confusing and the meetings are difficult to join. Zoom's interface seems unfinished and unprofessional like it is designed for consumers and is not appropriate for a business setting.
Chose Webex Meetings
I think the main point is easy to use, without much complexity, along with proper and easy-to-follow documentation. Other tools that we have used and integrate with had higher complexity with not very proper documentation.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex has better integration capabilities than Zoom, including with other Cisco collaboration tools that we also use. It’s also more visually simple, which makes onboarding easier for new users, and encourages further use among existing colleagues. Webex meetings are also …
Chose Webex Meetings
Zoom and Google Meet are really very good tools but, for me, Webex is the safest and most reliable of all.
The support Webex offers is unmatched by other vendors.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex Meetings provide better options for meetings, training, events, and hands-on labs.
Chose Webex Meetings
We have deployed Webex Meetings as a BlueJeans replacement. Besides offering us the option to license very user at our university, including students, faculty, and staff this gives us other perks when coupled with the SPK-EDU offering Cisco has. We never owned licensing nearly …
Chose Webex Meetings
Maintains security at all times, so that information is not shared and no one can enter without identifying themselves--a useful tool for communication, screen sharing, recording session, writing comments, in addition to which it allows to have either on PC or cell phone, which …
Chose Webex Meetings
All tools are good, yet cisco offers broader extensibility and products. However, for an educational setting, I would stress that you need a single app that is fully adapted and customized for educational needs (having Meetings, Teams, Events, etc., causes confusion).
Chose Webex Meetings
Teams (formerly Cisco Spark) is a little more social/collaboration, and while you can tie in meetings, I find it's better just to use WebeEx Meetings rather than Teams.
Chose Webex Meetings
Zoom is quick to pick up and put down. It seems to have some pretty lucrative features for similar capabilities as Webex Meetings. I have not tested their connector for allowing SIP calls into their meetings, but the main issue there is their pricing model for doing so.

The biggest use case I have for Webex is the public and private Spaces feature. It is so handy to have a single place where I can collaborate with team members on a single project. We can chat about new ideas and share files just on that specific project. That way I am not having to search email, or a Sharepoint site or a network drives for files. And I don't have to search through a separate chat log for ideas for this project. Add to that that I can use the Webex app on my PC, Mac, iphone and Android tablet and that makes it the killer app.

Pros
Cisco
  • High-quality, high-impact communications in our workflow.
  • It's great for sharing large documents, it doesn't slow down our communications.
  • The dark mode is excellent, it has a good image and seamless integration features.
  • We can record meetings, which is perfect for backing up any information that may be overlooked.

  • We have a global and diverse team with different devices and operating systems. Webex works smoothly on all of them and everyone can collaborate in real-time saving a lot of time and effort, making meetings much more productive.
  • We can easily capture discussion points and decisions for future reference, without the need for manual note-taking. It helps us in smaller group discussions and brainstorming sessions within the main meeting itself.
  • I can even tailor the layout to suit the meeting's purpose and agenda. Webex is intuitive and easy to navigate, even for non-technical users, joining and scheduling meetings is a smooth process.

Cons
Cisco
  • The PIN message function is getting deleted after some time. I would prefer it to retain all PIN messages.
  • Option to add multiple quiet hours. This will allow me to set quiet hours for the whole weekend and not just the time range similar to weekdays.
  • Paste cells on messages. When I paste, for example, a 3x3 cell from a spreadsheet, the columns and rows are removed.

  • While sharing the content of browsers like Chrome or Firefox it becomes difficult to toggle from one tab to another due to menu dropdown from the top.
  • Sometimes while joining a meeting it asks you to download the app again even if it's downloaded.
  • Limited scheduling option through mobile WebEx app

I don’t have access to video features.) In an age when our smartphones
do everything but call our friends, family, or clients, it’s refreshing
to have a desktop app that can make calls in the smartphone’s place. It
seems appropriate in a time when we’re all worried about the robots
rising and taking over the world. Why not transfer the functionality of a
telephone to the same computer where we program those world-dominating
robots? It’s practical. Cisco Jabber takes the classic idea of making
calls with a phone and puts it in the same place where we spend most of
our worktime. This frees up desk space, as well as keeps the smartphone
available for what it was invented to do: take Instagram photos. Not to
mention, because it has its own number, it makes it easier to contact
clients without having to give them your personal phone number. Need to
make a call, but you don’t want to share your home phone? Cisco Jabber
makes that easy. And best of all, because you call through your
computer, all you need is a microphone to speak and speakers to listen,
and you never have to pick up the phone at all. If you hate having
sweaty ears, then Cisco Jabber is your app of choice. Note: Because I
have access to phone features only, and Cisco Jabber has more available
that I can’t use, I can see where it may also be a pro for business
owners that Cisco apparently allows custom features availability for
users, depending on roles.

Cisco Webex Meetings is a platform that consistently performs well and outperforms some of the other solutions that we have used, such as Zoom. It is user friendly and helps our organization accomplish the goal of connecting with external contacts to conduct meetings and share information

Usability
Cisco
Webex is quite usable, and it is, in fact very easy to use as well. You don't need a lot of documentation to learn how to use the app as it's mostly self-explanatory. The user interface is easy on the eyes, and people can see buttons without issues. Overall, WebEx's front-end design is great and I don't have much issue with it.

Webex Meetings does not provide enough audio feedback for users with visual disabilities to properly navigate the tool. Students, faculty, and staff who are blind or have low vision may not be able to use Webex Meetings. Users with motor disabilities that navigate via keyboard, may not be able to navigate the web conferencing session enough to participate fully.

Reliability and Availability
Cisco
I would say every time I open it, it is there, there are times that our users have to sign out and back in to get it to work or even do a full exit as the app will disconnect from the controlling the desk phone, but some easy steps to sign-out or fully exit the app gets the user back up and running quickly.

So personally I have never faced any kind of meeting unavailability issue while scandaling meeting with WebEx the bandwidth is really good and in terms of application performance the same is my opinion what I mentioned for availability it is good and the objective of communication is quite fruitfully achieved with a simple and effective product like WebEx which is often bundled with the purchase of course which is which we have at our company and great discount is being offered so it is easy on our pocket. I really don't have any specific errors which have faced I should mention over here the operation or application uses is quite smooth.

I am very satisfied with my experience with Webex App in online training. The creation of the event is very easy with the possibility of scheduling it in advance. The management of participants, organizers, and animators is complete. The invitations are automated and by simply using emails we can create all the schedules of the training session

It was straight to the point and very informative. effective training often includes clear explanations, hands-on practice opportunities, time for questions and answers, real-world examples, and follow-up support. If you're trying to assess the quality of a specific training session, you might consider these factors. For organizations looking to assess the quality of their in-person training, it's best to solicit feedback directly from the participants. This can be done through anonymous surveys or feedback sessions, enabling the organization to gather firsthand information and improve future training sessions accordingly.

Very easy to create. All operations are done without any problems with our business growth. All people like the experience including me as an instructor. The tools that WebEx App offers us are very complete for working in a virtual classroom, whether it is sharing the screen, the different display modes, the whiteboard, or even the scoring tools on the screen, it allows me to do my job as an instructor as if I was face to face with the participants.

That we needed complex implementation that we didn't get tells me 2 things: 1) the product was not designed in a way that "just worked" like some of its peers (Zoom / BlueJeans) and 2) had our company defined actual user needs and validated / verified that they had bought something that matched those, we would have pursued features / designs more closely aligned with what the product actually does: screen share, sometimes video, definitely VOIP audio (always an option regardless of license), and easy recording and retrieval of meetings.

A lot of drops from calls/meetings frustrated me and my customers in some cases, but with Webex App, I see very less (or even null) drops, even when I am streaming HD content through my camera, even when I connected with the support team for other products for an explanation, they blame it on ISP even though my ISP gives around 200 Mbps speed, Webex App is miraculously never "affected" by ISP speed.

Meetings is the way to go! It blends in with our organization's workflow seamlessly. Teams is great but really suffers in the collaboration department from our personal experience. Webex Meetings is much more fleshed out. The features it has are much more convenient and easier to use. There was a bit of a learning curve, but once you are over that speedbump you are able to get much more use out of Webex Meetings.
