Verint Community (Telligent) is a community and collaboration software platform developed by Telligent Systems and was first released in 2004. Telligent's focus was on offering a platform that can be integrated and extended, but this requires technical expertise. Verint acquired Telligent in 2015.
[Citrix Podios's] customer support is very quick and they provide you an option to convert your project into small tasks so that you can better assist your team and extract maximum work out of them hence I will totally recommend its usage. I could not think that keeping track of tasks could be this much easier and smart. It is a fully customizable tool that manages my tasks efficiently and deal with them effectively.
Verint Community (Telligent) is extremely useful if you are goal is to expand your regular business by creating high engagement and creating word of mouth to have more conversions but it is not good to use it like a social media platform as there is a lot to improve that department.
Very easy for people without coding or technical skills to set up and maintain information in "Apps".
Platform is very easy to learn and adopt--it's intuitive.
Project management potential is awesome--instead of having to fit your projects into a structure that is industry specific, you can build an app that tracks what you want, in the order you want it.
Has a "relationship" field that allows you to relate an individual item or record to a record in another app. It effectively gives some of the functionality of a relational database.
Very useful for information sharing when staff members are in different regions or places.
Customization/flexibility - The platform can be truly made "yours." How far to take this can depend on what skillsets or budget you have available for customizations, but customers have an opportunity to provide an unparalleled experience for members. Almost every aspect of the site experience can be configured which seems to be a unique offering.
Customer service - They have a very active community filled with fellow community managers and developers who are eager to support one another. The Verint staff is extremely engaged, always offering to help, accessible and transparent when sharing insights, and generally pleasant and supportive! The ideas for improvements that I've received from the Verint team or fellow customers have been invaluable.
Affordable - In our vendor selection process, Verint came in among the lowest in price AND highest in value.
Flexible hosting environment - Choose if you want them to host and manage the back end, or if you want to host yourself. Not having to worry about server maintenance is a huge weight off the customer's shoulders, and you don't have to decide whether to sacrifice hosting for flexibility.
Integrations - The platform API is robust and well documented, so you can integrate the site any way you want into your existing systems if you have the proper knowledge.
Transparent roadmap and ideation process - The Verint team really listens to their customers and implements improvements to the platform based on customer input. They readily share what's coming soon and keep realistic expectations on what will (or won't) be done and when.
A customizable profile status – would love to work with Podio in silent mode (logged in while working, but "not available" for requests when in heavy work mode)
The user experience out-of-the-box could be improved, especially the new member onboarding and welcoming experience. For example, it isn't easy for users to figure out how to subscribe to the various applications that are turned on for a group (blog, calendar/events, wikis, ideas); by default group members are only subscribed to discussion forums. We wish that system admins could define default notification, subscription, and email digest settings for users.
The design of some of the widgets could be improved and made consistent across application types.
You can do anything you want with the Verint Community platform if you have a developer or a development team -- if you don't, it can be costly to enhance the out-of-the-box features to get the experience you are trying to build for your members.
The Automation Rules that have been enhanced recently hold a lot of promise, but need to be made easier for a non-programmer. Some standard automation rules need to be created in order to support driving desired member behaviors.
The system does not allow for file collaboration and isn't integrated out-of-the-box with file storage platforms like Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, etc. -- having version control on uploaded files would be a welcome enhancement. This would allow us to build collaboration groups where people from various organizations could more easily collaborate together on files.
Podio customer service is great. The cloud and mobile service is fast (almost instant, continuous syncing). With a solid user base, and backed by Citrix, this is a serious business solution. They're also constantly working on improving and making it more powerful. I anticipate it only getting better
Other than a few users who have come into the platform expecting complete control of the look and feel, most of our users have found the platform very easy to use. They often remark that it's just like other sites they've used outside of work such as user groups, forums, etc. From the admin side, it's pretty usable too! We haven't had too many head scratcher moments.
Podio support was always responsive and very quick to provide answers and assistance during the history of using this product, their support team has always been top notch. There have been several cases where calling podio support a feature was not available and they provided either workaround solutions or added the features straight into their roadmap.
Customer support is a general strength of Verint as the team is generally responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. There could be better documentation for the tool, but once set up, it is pretty easy to figure out even for non technical people.
Compared to Salesforce: Podio is not as robust as a tool for CRM tracking. It also doesn't have the in-email capabilities that SF offers. Compared to Basecamp: Podio is somewhat similar to Basecamp but doesn't offer the same functionality with checking items off and archiving projects. Compared to Zoho Projects: Podio is vastly superior to Zoho Project's lack of flexibility (requiring a development team to build) and accessibility by all members (Zoho Projects requires a very limited number of "owners" of projects which makes it difficult if multiple owners need to assign one or more people to a project).
We also reviewed Higher Logic and Community Cloud. Higher Logic was not able to be customized to meet our needs and felt outdated. Community Cloud required a lot of custom design and development that was very costly
Podio is great for task assignment and tracking. The ability to enter and assign tasks from mobile and track their completion saves me several phone calls a day.
Podio outdoes email as my go to place to search for information. The ability to forward emails into the system, organize by projects and contacts, and search it all saves considerable time and confusion.
Podio has considerable potential to reduce overall admin time spent organizing information (filing, tracking, etc) The ability to keep a single record of a given piece of information without being tied to email vs file structure works very well.
It has helped in growing and helping our eCommerce reach. Our company is in personal computers, mobiles and other electronics space which has a huge share of marketing which depends on word of mouth. As users engage more in the community and learn about the different devices we sell as well, they engage and let other members also know, including their friend circle, which in turn converts into business for us.
We are having huge issues with the language part of the community as our company is selling in almost every country in the world and the lack of proper language support in the community makes our platform difficult to grow in other countries. If they bring out new updates to resolve the issue of language, then surely this platform would do wonders.
We were able to host giveaways in our gaming and education communities which helped users pour a lot of interest into learning about the product and also spreading more awareness about it as well which has been very useful.
