If you're wanting to do some digital advertising on Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or another network, and need a tool to quickly create landing pages on your own. This is a fairly affordable tool to get that done, and it has some nice gizmos and gadgets to make your pages look and function great. It's also a great tool if you have digital products to sell online such as courses, eBooks, or consulting services. You can easily set up sales funnels to capture leads with some content and then upsell them with a "ladder" of products.

[Salesforce.com] is well suited for creating campaigns, tracking clicks, cutting the sales cycle and automating the whole marketing process. Salesforce provides a full view of the customer, such as communication history, activity history, social mentions and so much more using contact management. It may not be appropriate for small businesses because of its price.

  • Landing page software: A great one-page microsite where you can host your guides, offers, event information... (please note, this should not replace a mature company website).
  • Integrations: This software integrates with just about everything - so it's easy to collect information here and then migrate it into your real Customer Relationship Management system or ESP (email service provider).
  • Easy, basic CRM: For the new business owner, or for someone who has an opt-in offer, this software creates a four-in-one landing base to begin part of a customer journey. (please note, this does not replace a real CRM or email software for a mature business owner or for a bigger brand.)
  • Pop-up software: Allowing you to collect user information and allow people to opt-in to marketing messages or offers.
  • A/B testing: The ability to create and test offers, different landing pages, and variables to understand what their audience truly desires.

  • Reporting. The reporting functions are valuable to see how particular accounts have done over time, to see how reps are tracking to goal, and to see how reps compare to other reps in the organization.
  • Analytics. There are a variety of tools that management can use to determine how individual reps are performing and how the entire sales organization is tracking to goal, and how that compares to previous years.
  • Customization. Field can be customized to help an organization create a CRM that is tailored to their particular industry and company.

  • Tacky Branding: The whole ClickFunnels site looks incredibly tacky. I found the branding and language so off-putting that we chose not to try ClickFunnels until we ran out of other options. The product speaks for itself, don’t let the site dissuade you. That said, some of the “used car salesman” branding rubs off on the templates.
  • Reporting: The reporting dashboard and analytics are very basic, and don’t measure up to some of their competitors.
  • You’ll still want to work with a designer while using ClickFunnels, as some of the templates/builder options look a bit dated.

  • When you close SF and open it the next day it tends to open old cases (tabs). You'll end up with tab overload if you don't put time into closing old ones.
  • If you start a case and don't have all the required fields completed, you'll lose it all if you try saving it too soon.

Mostly because the unique combination of community and usage - we will renew. But we do often create similar results with other software (ex: sites, email marketing, etc.) and we don't always use Clickfunnels for every conversion scenario

To get the same functionality you would need numerous disparate tools to match the amount of functionality Salesforce has. Having it all aggregated on one platform makes the complicated parts far more bearable

It's decent, but the interior user experience and end user experience needs a lot of improvement. I would want some UX individuals to go through the site and make specific recommendations and changes: User navigation, user experience feels a bit cheap. It needs to be standardized with spacing, and sometimes the platform can be buggy as well. The user does need some education to use it - straight out of the box, it may or may not make sense

While some initial training is required, it is still simple enough for most users to interact with it on a daily basis without feeling burdensome.

I don't think you should have to wait for more than an hour or two to get in touch with someone when you need support. Because they primarily have overseas help, it's typically at least until the next business day until you get help. Then there is the language barrier to deal with. It's not ideal. I have contacted support a few times and have gotten answers. However, I consider myself much savvier than most in terms of understanding all the behind the scenes issues that go on with building a website and online marketing funnels. So if I were a beginner or not as familiar with how to code and create websites, I would think the support is terrible.

The Professional version relies on its community and its documentation. No chat support, no phone support. And I think for 70+ USD/ user/ month, there should be some of those options available. Finding an answer in the community is not always easy to do. I had to go with a Salesforce developer or administrator to find answers that I think I should be able to find with support.

I attended two training sessions. I would rate them a 4 as an advanced user. It was very basic – great for someone new – would give 8+ for new person.

I had 3 years of experience at the time. I skipped basic and went onto advanced and still not helpful. A lot of it was best practices that didn’t feel relevant for our business

We are grandfathered into premium support plus training. We get unlimited access to instructor led and online training for free. We have taken advantage of this

Just from an organizational standpoint - we standardized our data prior to moving to Salesforce. But we essentially standardized it wrong. That's created a big disgusting mess for us know that I'll have to deal with as the Admin. Be sure you think through use cases prior to doing something like that - seek outside opinions on how the data will work best, especially depending on what else you're going to integrate with Salesforce.

ClickFunnels is a more robust option with more features and functionality. It's more expensive, but it's worth it if you need the extra features and your in-house web-development resources are limited. There's also a strong Facebook community to tap into for advice and guidance if you run into trouble.

The biggest advantage with Salesforce is likely the biggest detractor as well. It is largely a blank slate. The system is not customized to any one business or industry out of the box. You have to design everything - which is great if you are looking for a highly customized system, but very difficult for small or even medium sized firms without help from a 3rd party. We developed everything 100% in house. It has been quite a learning curve, but ultimately we preferred this method to farming out the work.

I've worked with Salesforce since 2001 in companies ranging from 4 to hundreds of sales people and the system has been able to scale and perhaps more importantly expand (functionally) to the needs of larger organizations. In fact in my previous company, as a provider of a solution that integrated with Salesforce, we had customers that had thousands of sales people using Salesforce.

  • I ran out of money fast, as I paid $2500 per month for the program with no income.
  • I was moved from coach to coach and everyone had a different opinion, so nothing ends up being 'right' as they keep criticizing each other's work.
  • I emptied out my savings account on this program that promises to,
  • "hold my hand until I get there". False advertising. I dropped out when my money was finished. Now I am bankrupt and have nothing to show for it.
  • What they did not tell me was that the super successful people they made us talk to were there for a longer time and that the 6-10 month success stories are not the norm.

  • ROI is most noticeable when you are able to consolidate disparate legacy systems and move all of their data from a local data center up to the cloud. You end up saving a ton of money that no longer needs to be spent on hardware, software, maintenance, IT, etc.
  • The recurring licensing model is not ideal when it comes to ROI impact, as the long term expenditure will be significant. However, the hidden cost savings that it brings due to a smoother running business is not something that should be ignored.
  • One of the main benefits is collaboration. The platform represents a "single source of truth" that can greatly enhance collaboration and data consolidation. This will impact ROI in ways immeasurable but there can be no doubt that the effects are there.
