Chose ClickUp
There is almost no comparison. With Trello, you basically only get the board view and it doesn't do recurring tasks. To me, it was basically useless. If you can't run your whole business using it, it's not useful.

Teamwork Projects is more similar to ClickUp. However, Teamwork …

Chose ClickUp
We've used both products before and just prefer the single-source, comprehensive approach from ClickUp. We feel ClickUp is more robust and dynamic which makes it better to handle our ever changing business needs.
Chose ClickUp
We use Slack in conjunction with ClickUp for an extra layer of communication. Notifications can get overwhelming in ClickUp, and Slack helps us streamline communication.
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp has a powerful and simple UI, that allows us to combine the effective components of other platforms into a single one.
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp is advanced enough to support power users and project management professionals, while flexible enough to allow users with fewer requirements to get the job done in the same tool, and the same space.
Chose ClickUp
I used TeamworkPM many years ago. I remember it not being as user-friendly and not as easy to schedule projects in. Using ClickUp for the past year and a half has made me enjoy project management again. The support team is wonderful and the annual LevelUp event they have shows …
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp is by far the best choice when compared to TeamWork or Basecamp. Basecamp is pretty basic, but it's ok if you're just starting out. TeamWork was our tool of choice before we discovered ClickUp, and the difference is incredible. ClickUp has much better task management …
Chose ClickUp
It's just better in every way. There are more features and more templates than anything I've ever seen or used, and they're constantly coming out with new ones. It's also the most customizable, so it's good for simple AND complex projects. User adoption is easy and people …
Chose ClickUp
Asana - Probably my 2nd favorite platform. Loved the recurring task setup, easy to filter tasks to have a dashboard with your preferred view. Not as easy to run projects across different teams, there was some limitations, at least during the time we were using it.

Teamwork - …
Chose ClickUp
We found Asana and ClickUp to be high in the list of top project management systems that are easy to use for both our team members and our clients (of different tech savviness). We find ClickUp far easier to use and learn than Teamwork as the UI and UX is far better, yet it's …

Chose Teamwork.com
Teamwork is definitely an upgrade when compared to Basecamp or Trello. It has more customizing capabilities, time tracking, file sharing, messaging and much more. The nifty feature is being able to give your clients selective access, so they can follow the progress without …

ClickUp
ClickUp is fantastic for a company that has a strong emphasis on execution and project management. ClickUp feature set is amongst one of the strongest in the industry. As a software business, we require this sort of feature set for things like sprints, GANTT, agile and much more. ClickUp can be daunting for companies that are looking for basic project management without the bells and whistles. There are other project management providers that have a much simpler platform. If you are a fast growing dynamic tech company I really don't see another option that rivals ClickUp

Teamwork
Teamwork is awesome for teams who need a flexible tool that supports all types of projects. Since it supports kanban it makes visualizing the work to be done and the work in progress very easy. The Gantt chart support is decent and helps to understand how a team is doing when it comes to getting work done in a given time frame. Teamwork isn't a great option for companies that have a bunch of projects going simultaneously due to the way Teamwork structures their billing based on a number of active projects.

Pros
ClickUp
  • Allows you to create dashboards to track your team and company's progress towards its goals.
  • Integrates docs and forms so we don't need to switch apps
  • Notifications about every update, so you never really need to go asking around for one.
  • Allows you to visualize deadlines, how each piece of work fits into the bigger picture, and see in real-time what's holding your team up

Cons
ClickUp
  • The mobile app is confusing to use and does not represent a mobile version of the web app.
  • Some new features are included with the current plan and some you have to pay extra for.
  • Learning curve can be a bit much for non-digital native users.

Teamwork
  • Visualization needs to be improved, charts graphs are limited
  • Value stream mapping should be available to determine and prioritize the work.
  • Documentation should be available stepwise with export and printable facility.
  • It should be configurable like ERP with cross functionalities of different users, where users login, assign and approve the work, job or project details, where it should be collectively effected on a project.
  • Add many examples, little more AI, Machine learning required for suggestion and recommendation. It would be a plus point

We're very pleased with how the system works in general. For over a year we've barely ever had any problems with ClickUp and there might have only been one or two times when it wasn't operational for us due to a global emergency. Moreover, when we had a problem once with renewing our licenses we've been contacted directly by our account manager and taken care of in a very professional way (with a due refund as well). The exceptional customer service makes us firmly believe that ClickUp is just the right tool for us.

Teamwork
We are already at an annual contract, and have been for the past 5 years; so far the system has delivered, and our personal is already trained in it. A major overhaul of our entire infrastructure (as in moving everything to a single, unified platform) might change the current continuity of Teamwork Projects on our organization, but that's not feasible in the near future.

Usability
ClickUp
Far easier to use than any other PM tool. ClickUp is incredibly intuitive and had us saving time and energy within the first week of implementation. In my opinion, PM software should make it easier to focus on the deliverables - it shouldn't take all your time and energy to learn how to use the tool in the first place. ClickUp is a user-friendly tool that actually helps us focus on what's important.

Teamwork
I give it a 9 out of 10, because there is a bit of a learning curve when you first start using Teamwork Projects because there is a lot to learn & recognize where to find it. They do offer a good range of tools that can be applied to every project - So say you're working on an internal project and don't need Milestones or Billing, you can shut those modules off. This can help simplify the interface for beginners. Once you've had a few days in Teamwork Projects, I think it's a 10/10 usability. It's very easy to accomplish your tasks and keep track of what you're managing.

Reliability and Availability
ClickUp
For over a year ClickUp was unavailable to us just twice for a couple of hours. I would say for a system this big and working globally that was a minor issue. They managed to fix all the issues within a couple hours and then it was back up and running perfectly fine.

Performance
ClickUp
I understand that it's a beast and does a lot of things, which is probably why it's laggy. But I do find it takes longer than I'd like to load, and if I am sending a complex document to a client or team member they aren't quite sure if they're getting the right thing at first. This is actually a pretty significant problem - my biggest beef with ClickUp.

ClickUp support is incredible! They respond quickly with any questions about my issue, provide a timeline, and elaborate on how they will solve my problem. They are incredibly respectful and accommodating. Whenever I run into an issue, I know that ClickUp support will be happy to answer any questions and help my team out. When I start a support ticket, I know that I won't be getting sent article recommendations, I will be speaking to their customer support team immediately

We've been able to meet with the customer success team on multiple occasions to discuss the roadmap and learn about the company culture. Being based in Ireland, we occasionally have to wait until they wake up to get support requests handled in the states and larger conversations about big enhancement requests were politely collected but not followed up on

Using ClickUp is fairly easy. There are multiple guides on how to use all of the functions in the system. An organization wanting to start working with ClickUp should simply try it out and see how it would like to adapt its workflow to the possibilities the system gives the users.

Alternatives Considered
ClickUp
They are all very similar, but ClickUp was easier to use. The UX design is great, everything falls into place. I didn’t have to train anyone from the team on how to use it. They easily understood how it works. It’s simple, clear and straightforward. Every move you make, it’s actually what you expect it to do.

Teamwork
I spoke about this quite a bit before, but as far as usability goes, Microsoft Projects is totally useless for me, so I avoid it at all costs. Basecamp was just a task management app and had very small feature set beyond that. We had to rig it to do other things for us, but it failed at that. Asana was a very nice app to trial, but it lacked many of the features that we were looking for.

Scalability
ClickUp
Scaling with ClickUp is superb. If you create a workflow best suited for your organization then it's all about creating new accounts and teaching the new employees the workflow you're using. It's that simple. There is no black magic when it comes to Clickup.

  • ClickUp has had a positive impact since it has allowed the Global Operations Department to have a consistent collaboration by having this app as a repository of Projects and Programs, which has enabled a faster synchronization and stronger collaboration to better allocate resources.
  • A positive impact is a faster and clearer prioritization process for the executives since this app allows you to have a full picture of what's going on across the board.

Teamwork
  • Teamwork was a great starter into project management software. We were WAY more organized and efficient than we ever were with Trello boards and the PM software included with our accounting system.
  • Clients were mostly pleased with interacting with Teamwork, and appreciated the ability to track their comments and requests in one place.
  • Ultimately, we stopped using Teamwork after about 6 months because we need something more focused on web development projects specifically
