ClickUp is a great project and task management tool. If you have multiple projects running at the same time, the hierarchy makes it easy to get an overview on where every project is at. It is also a great collaboration tool for team members and multiple departments. The comment sections make it easier to provide feedback on a project or task. Lastly, creating automated workflows would be the best thing about ClickUp. The team does not have to remember the whole process, use automations to insert checklists and subtasks for the whole process.

Zimbra is great for an email system for a medium or large organization with appropriate IT staffing. The system is easy to use for end-users, and has a fantastic web interface. Unfortunately, it is overly complex, when considering staffing requirements and price, when compared with Office 365 or Google Apps for smaller organizations. For other education customers, it is hard to compete with Microsoft and Google providing their services for "Free" now though

  • Super easy to connect with colleagues on specific projects/ tasks and collaborate on the work to be done
  • Ease of use - very user-friendly; we've never been able to implement a new application as quickly as we did ClickUp

  • The password change is not activated when you access by IMAP, Pop3 or Exchange sync. You have to know that the password change is required and you must go to the website to do so.
  • The management of mail rules should have more checking options.
  • There should be more applications compatible with Zimbra, the ones that appear in the Zimlets.

    We're very pleased with how the system works in general. For over a year we've barely ever had any problems with ClickUp and there might have only been one or two times when it wasn't operational for us due to a global emergency. Moreover, when we had a problem once with renewing our licenses we've been contacted directly by our account manager and taken care of in a very professional way (with a due refund as well). The exceptional customer service makes us firmly believe that ClickUp is just the right tool for us.

    It's pretty easy to figure out without having to invest a bunch of time researching how to use it. The additional different views and themes can really help you personalize how you like to see information, both physically and aesthetically.

    Having used ClickUp for less than a year in my current organization, there have been only a couple of times when errors occurred and we've been unable to access our projects. However these have only been very brief, and did not negatively impact us. I recall these times only lasted for no more than an hour or so

    I understand that it's a beast and does a lot of things, which is probably why it's laggy. But I do find it takes longer than I'd like to load, and if I am sending a complex document to a client or team member they aren't quite sure if they're getting the right thing at first. This is actually a pretty significant problem - my biggest beef with ClickUp.

    I started using ClickUp when it was what most would consider a baby company. There were the occasional bugs that made working in ClickUp a little bit of a headache, but the support feature allowed me to chat with a real persona and communicate my issues. I would always get prompt support and someone willing to really help me, not just point me to FAQ pages. Not feeling like a number really makes a difference.

    There are multiple guides on literally all of the functions you can find within the system, therefore it's easy to learn anything you'd really like to use, starting from project and people management, down to Gantts, mind maps, time tracking, inviting Clients as guests to work with you on the projects and so much more.

    Using ClickUp is fairly easy. There are multiple guides on how to use all of the functions in the system. An organization wanting to start working with ClickUp should simply try it out and see how it would like to adapt its workflow to the possibilities the system gives the users.

    Overall, we were satisfied with the implementation. We perhaps should have spent more time consulting with Zimbra or others regarding best practices but as we got to know the system better we were able to make changes relatively easily after the fact.

    I compared ClickUp to Trello and Monday. I picked ClickUp because several other speakers and consultants recommended it. My business strategist at the time also helped me to set it up, which was appealing. I'm very glad I picked ClickUp as it's been intuitive to use by myself and my team. We've created a library of resources that I couldn't imagine not having access to.

    As long as organizations are thoughtful when setting up their workspace, I believe that ClickUp is very scalable. For example, we have divided our spaces into functional areas, and further organized projects into a folder system within spaces. By being thoughtful in the early stages of set up, I believe we are avoiding a disorganized situation down the line where projects lack any clear structured hierarchy.

    • I'm not sure how to quantify it but the new hire onboarding automation that we built within ClickUp saved so much manual work with teams not needing to reach out again and again over email or through Slack to ask where a task was in the project timeline. Everyone could just go to ClickUp to see where it stood on the timeline. It likely saved us hours and reduced redundant work.

    • Since all of our ROI studies and strategies are performed at the corporate level, I'm really not sure what positive or negative impacts Zimbra has had on our overall business objectives. I can say that at least one positive impact it has on my business objectives, in the medical record department, is the ability to be as paperless as possible.
