Vervoe's mission is to make hiring about merit, not background. Vervoe helps employers make hiring decisions based on how well candidates can actually do the job instead of how good they look on paper. Vervoe replaces the traditional hiring process with skills assessments and gives every candidate an opportunity to showcase their talent by doing job-related tasks. Then, Vervoe uses machine learning models to automatically rank candidates based on how well they perform. Vervoe can…

- To conduct a preliminary assessment round when there are multiple candidates to choose from. Helps you to filter out candidates on the basis of requirements. - The questions that are assigned for each test are different, so the probability of any two candidates getting the exact same questions is very less. -However, the questions are based on the same concepts so as to provide an equal ground to all the candidates.- However, if you have to choose from less number of candidates you are better off conducting normal interviews, as these tests are time-consuming for both interviewers and employers.

Vervoe
In my opinion, I felt we were oversold by Vervoe. There are many comparable tools out there that are far less expensive. I realized after the fact that I should have asked more specific questions. The team that will help create the questions for the customized assessment is located in Australia. We had to schedule our meetings with them in the evening and it was NOT disclosed to us that that would be the case. A big reason we chose Vervoe over other platforms was that they made it seem like they would create the questions for us, they tried to but we ended up having to almost create the entire assessment from scratch. In my opinion, the platform is very clunky and simple things are not possible. For example, each recruiter cannot receive scores that they sent out to candidates... we receive scores for the entire group and we have to sort through whose candidate is whose...when hiring in high volume this is extremely challenging and annoying.

Alternatives Considered
CoderPad
We did use other option other than CoderPad. Before CoderPad we were using references for hiring but then again the whole process of assessment was not easy. It takes time. CoderPad came to our lives through a reference and since then it has somewhat changed the way we see hiring.
